No matter who you are and what you want your yacht charter to look like, Lefkas offers the very best of the Mediterranean. The only question left to ask is, where should you sail first?

For Families

Greece is renowned for being an ideal summer vacation destination, and Lefkas is no different. With so many nearby islands, hidden beaches, traditional villages and underwater treasures to explore, the whole family will make memories for life. Sivota Mourtos is particularly popular for its exhilarating watersports, from kayaking to scuba diving.

We even have a kid co-ordinator available for flotilla charters during the peak season.

For Couples

The traditional Grecian villages against the backdrop of the mesmerising Ionian Sea makes Lefkas a beautiful setting for a couples vacation. From dolphin spotting to wine tastings, there’s no limit to the romantic experiences on offer to couples in Lefkas.

For First-Time Sailors

Lefkas is a level 1 sailing destination which means the cruising conditions are ideal for first-time sailors

Even if learning to sail isn’t for you, we have a skippered yacht charter option which means you can enjoy everything Lefkas has to offer as your skipper takes you to the best spots on the island.

If this is your first time indulging in the beauty of Lefkas, follow one of our bespoke itineraries which will take you to the must-visit spots around the Ionian Islands. Head to Parga and explore the old olive oil factory, set sail across to Meganisi where you can enjoy freshly-caught seafood, or kick back and relax at Foki Beach on Fiscardo.

For Large Groups

Do you love the idea of a sociable vacation? Whether you’re already planning a relaxing yacht charter with a group of friends, or are looking to meet new people, book a Lefkas flotilla vacation. You will join other yachts as part of one big flotilla where you have the opportunity to socialize while also exploring the wonders of the Ionian Islands. We have several Lefkas flotilla charters available for large groups, which you can explore above.

What are the best things to do in Lefkas, Greece?

Lefkas is a sailor’s playground, with countless opportunities for adventure. Whether you want to spend your vacation relaxing and switching off, or challenging yourself to try new activities, here are some of the best things to do on your Lefkas yacht charter.

Relaxing

Spend hours relaxing on the deck of your catamaran while admiring the beauty of the Ionian Sea and its many islands. Moor up at the stunning Porto Katsiki Beach and take in the breathtaking views of the landscape. Hike to Egremni Beach before swimming and snorkeling in its turquoise waters.

Exploring

Our carefully crafted itineraries are perfect for exploring the treasures of the Ionian Islands. Choose your own adventure; will you wander around the cobbled streets of traditional Grecian villages? Perhaps you’ll island hop to nearby islands and spot hidden coves and secret beaches. Love the water? You may even find yourself snorkeling and scuba diving in some of the best spots in the Mediterranean, such as Agiofili Beach.

Eating and drinking

No Lefkas yacht charter is complete without tasting local delicacies every day. Whether you stop for a quick bite to eat before continuing your hike around Eglouvi, or enjoy a long, romantic dinner while watching the sun set over the Ionian Sea, your tastebuds will be dancing all the same. Our favorite Lefkas delicacies include Savoro, Madolato and Ladopita.

Underwater adventures

Do you want to unleash your inner adventurer during your Lefkas yacht charter? The prevailing winds, turquoise waters and sunny weather make Lefkas the perfect destination for thrilling water sports, including kitesurfing, snorkeling and scuba diving. One of our favorite snorkeling spots is at the sunken plane wreck on Meganisi.

History and culture

Much like Athens and Corfu, a Lefkas yacht charter promises an abundance of history and culture. Some of our top historical and cultural things to do in Lefkas include:

  • The Castle of Agia Maura
  • Monastery of Faneromeni
  • Lighthouse Doukato
When is the best time to visit Lefkas?

The best time to visit Lefkas is between May and October, with warm weather, calm seas, and ideal sailing conditions. For quieter beaches and fewer crowds, consider visiting in spring or early fall.

With perfect conditions for snorkeling, scuba diving, island hopping, wandering around traditional villages, exploring ancient ruins and sitting out on the deck to watch enchanting sunsets, Lefkas thrives during the summer, much like our other Greece sailing destinations.

June and July are the most popular months for enjoying an exhilarating Lefkas charter, but if you’re hoping for quieter beaches and less tourists, book between April-May or September-October.

Our Lefkas base is closed during the winter, between mid-November-early April. Do you want a winter sunshine adventure? Check out our tranquil Caribbean sailing vacations, where you can start the New Year on a golden beach with a cocktail in hand.

What are the sailing conditions in Lefkas like?

The low tidal ranges, calm waters and balmy summer temperatures make the sailing conditions in Lefkas and Ionian Islands a dream come true for sailors of all experience levels.

Between June-August you can expect cloudless days and sizzling average temperatures of between 72°F-84°F. Rainfall is very slight during the summer, with an average of around half an inch, and much like the rest of the Mediterranean, tidal ranges stay between one-two feet.

If you’re taking the helm on a Lefkas sailing charter between May-September, you’ll experience The Maistro, a northwest prevailing wind.
