Stroll the flower-filled lanes, enjoy local meze at a waterside taverna, or take a short hike for a panoramic view over the Ionian Sea. Kioni is the kind of place you’ll never want to leave.

Free Sailing Day – Lefkas

With a few days of confident sailing under your belt, Day 5 is yours to shape. Departing from Kioni, you can explore the Ionian your way, cruising solo or buddying up with other flotilla boats.

Head north through the scenic Meganisi channel to discover hidden anchorages near Lefkas, or take a relaxed sail to the unspoilt coves around Kalamos or Arkoudi. Prefer a lazy day? Drop anchor in a tranquil bay near Meganisi for lunch, swimming, and sunbathing off the stern.

Abelike, Meganisi

Cruise north from your free sailing day anchorage to Abelike Bay, a serene inlet tucked into the northwest coast of Meganisi. Surrounded by olive groves and pine trees, this peaceful bay is one of the Ionian’s best-kept secrets, a perfect final stop before returning to Lefkas.

Spend the afternoon swimming, paddleboarding, or relaxing on deck in this protected anchorage. In the evening, take the dinghy ashore for dinner at a nearby taverna or enjoy a quiet meal on board with your flotilla companions as the sun dips behind the hills.

Stop at Atherinos Bay or Spartochori for a swim and lunch before heading to Abelike. These nearby coves offer great snorkeling and inviting beachside tavernas.

Evening Experience

Watch the sunset from your stern deck with a drink in hand, or hop in the dinghy to nearby Port Atheni or Vathi for a farewell dinner overlooking the water.”

Lefkas

Make your way back to our Lefkas base. Back in Lefkas once more, your final day is a chance to take in any Ionian highlights you may have missed so far, or simply chill out and soak up the atmosphere. Try your hand at one of Lefkas’ popular water sports. The flyfish hydroplane is an adrenaline rush, allowing you to skip off the surface of the water like a stone. If you’d rather enjoy a quieter, more Zen-like climax to your flotilla holiday, then hiking Lefkas’ wooded hills or enjoying a shot of ouzo in a quiet taverna is the perfect way to spend your last day in the Ionian.
