COVID-19 Travel Restrictions in Antigua

Please view Antigua’s latest travel requirements in response to COVID-19 below. Sunsail will continue to monitor these updates to keep our guests informed of any changes.
We would also advise that you contact your airline for the most up to date information around entry requirements and re-entry to your home country.
While Antigua is opening its borders for international travelers, certain Policies and Procedures will need to be followed when entering the country, before, and during your stay there.
Before You Go
All Fully Vaccinated Travelers regardless of age:
- Fully vaccinated arriving passengers are not required to present a PCR/Rapid Antigen Test to be permitted entry into Antigua and Barbuda, (unless they show symptoms of possible infection). This includes transiting passengers.
- Arriving passengers are not required to present verifiable documentation of full vaccination to be permitted entry into Antigua and Barbuda.
- Fully vaccinated passengers may be required to submit to a RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 upon arrival at their own expense. Instructions on permissible activities while awaiting results will be provided by Port Health officials.
- Partially/Unvaccinated passengers with no COVID 19 symptoms are permitted entry provided they:
- Unvaccinated minors between the ages of five and eighteen years old must present a negative certified RT-PCR result taken no more than three (3) days or Rapid Antigen Test taken no more than 24 hours prior to arrival in Antigua and Barbuda.Unvaccinated minors who are not staying at a certified resort/accommodation (Airbnb)) may be required to quarantine at home for a period of 10 – 14 days.
- Do not need to present a negative Covid-19 PCR Test
All Travelers:
- All arriving passengers must complete a Health Declaration Form (given to you on your flight to Antigua) and will be subject to screening and temperature checks by Port Health Authorities upon arrival in Antigua and Barbuda.

- We recommend purchasing travel insurance
When You Arrive
- Upon your arrival at the airport, please state your intended destination is Antigua Charter Services, NOT Sunsail. We are recognized as Antigua Charter Services as we have more than one brand located in Antigua - Sunsail & The Moorings.
- At VC Bird International Airport, passengers must complete a Health Declaration form and will be subject to temperature checks by Port Health Authorities.
- All travelers must wear a face mask at the airport and in all public places.
During Your Charter
- Curfew hours in Antigua are from 11pm-5am
- Beaches are open on weekdays and weekends between the hours of 5am and 7pm
- Bars are open. To enter you must be fully vaccinated and present photo ID vaccination cards before entry
- Restaurants are open for dining-in and take out. If guests would like to dine-in, they must have received at least one dose of a WHO approved COVID-19 vaccine. Children below the age of 18 years are exempt from this requirement
- Social gatherings are limited to 10 persons
- We are dedicated to giving you peace of mind when you charter with us. Our industry-leading safety measures include the fogging and disinfecting of all yachts before each charter begins.
