Join a two-week flotilla sailing holiday in the sparkling Ionian Sea, exploring one of the larger Ionian islands, Paxos in the first week and then island hopping around Meganisi, Kalamos and Ithaca on your second week.

You’ll join a group of friends, families and fellow sailors, sailing on your own or in small groups by day and meeting with your flotilla each afternoon to enjoy social activities on deck and on shore. When is the best time to visit Lefkas?

The best time to visit Lefkas is between May and October.

With perfect conditions for snorkelling, scuba diving, island hopping, wandering around traditional villages, exploring ancient ruins and sitting out on the deck to watch enchanting sunsets, Lefkas thrives during the Summer, much like our other Greece sailing destinations

June and July are the most popular months for enjoying an exhilarating Lefkas charter, but if you’re hoping for quieter beaches and less tourists, book between April-May or September-October.

What are the sailing conditions in Lefkas like?

The low tidal ranges, calm waters and balmy Summer temperatures make the sailing conditions in Lefkas and Ionian Islands a dream come true for sailors of all experience levels.

Between June-August you can expect cloudless days and sizzling average temperatures of between 22°C-29°C. Rainfall is very slight during the Summer, with an average of 10-18mm, and much like the rest of the Mediterranean, tidal ranges stay between one-two feet.

If you’re taking the helm on a Lefkas sailing charter between May-September, you’ll experience The Maistro, a northwest prevailing wind.

How much are the moorings fees in Lefkas?

On average, you could pay around EUR 66.00 for one night in a 33” yacht, and EUR 118.00 for one night in a 45” yacht. 

As you prepare to set sail around the stunning Ionian Islands and look forward to mooring up and exploring the wonders they hold, you may also be thinking about moorings fees in Lefkas.

Lefkas mooring, berthing and docking fees will differ depending on:

  • The season you set sail on your Lefkas yacht charter
  • Which marina you’re at
  • The size of your yacht
  • How long you plan to stay. 

On top of mooring fees, you may also need to pay extra for water and electricity. Also, catamarans are expected in some parts of Lefkas and the Mediterranean to pay a supplement of between 50-100%.
