COVID-19 Travel Restrictions in Abacos
Welcome to Sunsail's marina in Bahamas!
Please view Bahamas latest travel requirements in response to COVID-19 below. Sunsail will continue to monitor these updates to keep our guests informed of any changes.
We would also advise that you contact your airline for the most up to date information around entry requirements and re-entry to your home country.
While the Bahamas is opening their borders for international travelers, certain Policies and Procedures will need to be followed when entering the country, before, and during your stay there.
Before You Go
- Fully vaccinated travelers will only be required to present proof of vaccination at check-in.
- Unvaccinated travelers, ages 2 and older will be required to obtain a negative COVID-19 test - either a negative RT-PCR or a Rapid Antigen Test to be presented at check-in. (no older than 3 days)
- Children under the age of 2 are exempt from any testing requirements
- Unvaccinated persons travelling inter-island (domestic) within The Bahamas from New Providence (Nassau), Paradise Island or Grand Bahama Island (Freeport), will no longer be required to obtain a COVID-19 test prior to the date of travel.
During Your Charter
- All public and private beaches and parks are operating normally
- Restaurants on most islands are allowed to operate indoor and outdoor dining, as well as curbside pickup, delivery, drive-thru and takeaway
- All travelers must wear a face mask in any situation where it is necessary to enforce physical distancing guidelines
- If you test positive whilst on charter, please get in touch with your insurance provider for advice. You must self-quarantine onboard your yacht for 5 days. If your charter ends before the five days, you will then have to rent a hotel room to resume the quarantine. After 5 days, you will re-test.
- We are dedicated to giving you peace of mind when you charter with us. Our industry-leading safety measures include the fogging and disinfecting of all yachts before each charter begins.
