To make sure that you have a safe and enjoyable sailing experience, we have grouped all of our products into 3 different levels. You may have many thousands of sea miles under you belt but it certainly does not limit you to Level 3 destinations - some of our most beautiful sailing areas and fun products are Level 0 or 1. You do however need to make sure that you, or somebody on board, has enough experience for your chosen destination, otherwise you won’t enjoy your vacation and you could put the safety of those on board at risk. If you are not sure what level you are then why not complete our Sailing Resume which will show you all of the best products and destinations tailored to your skills and qualifications.
Many countries are also increasingly asking for formal qualifications in order for you to skipper a yacht. Croatia and Greece require an International Certificate of Competence (ICC), RYA Day Skipper, or ASA Basic Keelboat Certification as a minimum requirement and we are expecting Greece, Italy and Turkey to follow suit. We strongly advise that the Skipper and First Mate should be qualified to this level, to avoid reducing your choice of destination.
Please bear in mind that even in a Level 0 sailing area there is always the possibility of much stronger winds on occasion. The winds strengths shown are those typically encountered during the sailing season of your chosen destination.

You may never have set foot on a yacht in your life before however there are still a great range of options to get you started.
