Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change my charter dates after booking?
Yes. Every new Sunsail booking includes a free date, boat and destination change up to 4 months before your departure, at no charge. Your deposit moves with you for up to 12 months.
What's included in my charter price?
Every Sunsail charter includes dinghy and outboard, linen, chart pack and boat briefing, end-of-charter cleaning, and dock assistance. There are no hidden extras — what you’requoted is what you pay.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellation terms vary by how far in advance you cancel and are set out in our full booking terms. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellation costs.
What if Sunsail has to change or cancel my charter?
In the unlikely event we need to make a significant change to your charter, we will contact you promptly and offer alternatives — including a change of date, destination, or a refund as applicable under our booking terms.
Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly recommend it for every charter. The Travel Protection Plan administered by Trip Mate is available for US customers and covers trip cancellation, interruption, and more. Find out more
Are there any exclusions to the free flexibility policy?
The free flexibility policy applies to most new bookings. Partner bases including Italy, Turkey, & Whitsundays may be excluded. Full eligibility details are in our booking terms — your holiday planner will confirm at time of booking.
