Advanced Catamaran Sailor

From the experience that you have told us about, you are qualified to skipper any Sunsail catamaran (within 10 feet of the largest yacht you have previously sailed and denoted in your resume) in Level 1 and 2 Sunsail destinations listed below.

As you will see from the below table, the skipper of the yacht will be required to show proof of qualifications in Greece, Croatia, Italy, and French Polynesia. This must be the original copy of your qualification.

Although no sailing qualifications are required for cruising in certain destinations, we strongly advise that you take any sailing certification on holiday with you. This may be useful should you be contacted by Customs or Port Police.

Why not explore any of our 20+ destinations with your very own skipper. Our skippers are fully qualified and hold a wealth of local knowledge to ensure they build an itinerary that is personalised to you and your party. Your skipper will captain your yacht, giving you plenty of time to truly relax and enjoy your surroundings. Feel free to get involved with the skippers help and expand your sailing knowledge. **

*If you are interested in chartering in any of our Mediterranean destinations, you will need formal qualifications. Port authorities throughout the Mediterranean require various levels of formal qualifications. In Greece, the skipper should be accompanied by at least one crew member (First Mate) of “Competent Crew” level or a similar/equivalent certification from any recognised sailing association.

**When adding a skipper to a bareboat, remember that they will require a cabin and provisions for the duration of your charter.
