The pre-departure info was very helpful and comprehensive. Checking in and out was very well organised. The flotilla concept is a great confidence builder. The lead team were helpful and highly available. I only didnt give a 10 because we lost 2 days sailing due to the weather, and if we had bare-boated that would likely only have been 1, as the flotilla has to cater for the least-able crew.

Rally helpful crew at the base and all really well organised. Also, importantly, made sure we kept safe in the stormy weather!

Staff were nice, polite, and willing to help

The lead crew (Tom, Paul and Claudia) were great, just the right amount of help and advice. The boat was pretty much new, so was excellent. We had done a flotilla with Neilson in the past and there was no comparison, your guys/boats were so much better!!

From booking to sailing adventure the experience was very professional from Sunsail. This was our first flotilla adventure and the team on the phone, on site and during the sailing were helpful, friendly and offered support to share a great experience. WE will be looking to book again with you in 2025.
Lastly a shout out to Claudia, Ella and Liv who were on our lead boat, ladies you were amazing. 🙂

The boat was fantastic and all very easy

We had the most incredible week in Croatia with Sunsail. In addition to our fabulous lead crew, consisting of Finn, Elle and Hrvojie we also had the fantastic Tadek as our skipper. I was genuinely blown away but how great they all were. Finn, Elle and Hrvojie were great fun, incredibly helpful and just fab to be around. Tadek was second to none! He fitted into our family perfectly, was a joy to have on board whilst at the same time making sure we were all learning. I can’t speak of them all highly enough. Thanks all for genuinely adding to our family holiday and making it genuinely so fabulous!

This was our 3rd flotilla with Sunsail and it couldn’t have been better. We sailed the 2 week Vis flotilla and it was absolutely amazing. Our boat (Still Dreaming – 38.2) was just perfect for the 2 of us. The first week took us to the Krka National Park and was superb, with some different experiences with the route up to Skradin being amazing. The middle weekend allowed us to travel to Vis which is such a lovely island and thoroughly recommended (especially at a weekend when it’s quieter). For our second weekend we sailed round Solta, Brac & Hvar stopping at some really lovely spots and picking up some really nice wind in between.
We can’t thank our lead crew enough. Finn, Elle, and Mario (first week), and Hrvoje (2nd week), were absolutely brilliant. I don’t think I’ve come across a more cool or calm skipper as Finn, so knowledgeable, helpful, and a joy to be around (love his laugh 😍). Elle….what can I say….such a delightful host, bubbly, helpful, professional with a ‘nothings ever too much trouble attitude’….such a credit to the Sunsail team…well done Elle ❤️. Mario & Hrvoje were always there straight away if you needed them although our boat was pretty faultless so we didn’t really need to call on them much. Thankyou all.

Already started looking at options for the next trip the day we got back 😃

This was our third Sunsail flotilla in Croatia, and our second starting from Agana, having done the Krka route in 2024. This year we joined the Hvar flotilla and booked the same boat as last year — a now (2 yr old) Sunsail 34.1 “Bailout” . We chose early check‑in, which worked perfectly, allowing us to settle in, provision, and be ready well in time for the briefing. The boat was immaculate when we arrived, spotlessly clean, and with all the beds made up — a noticeable improvement from the year before.

One small difference this year was the tender’s engine. In 2024 we had an electric version that was easy to fit and use, whereas this year we were issued a heavier Mercury petrol engine. We didn’t feel confident lifting it on and off, so we opted not to use it during the week. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but worth mentioning for crews who might prefer a more manageable option.

Provisioning was straightforward, although we noticed that many of the supermarket trolleys had been left down at the marina, making it necessary to make a few trips. Not a big deal, just a reminder to allow a bit of extra time when stocking up. We were also advised in the briefing the following day to use reef‑safe shampoo and sun cream, but this came after we’d already provisioned. It would be really helpful if this information could be included in the pre‑flotilla briefing documents, perhaps with examples of brands available locally, so crews can plan ahead.

The lead crew — India, Filip, and Carraig — were absolutely fantastic. They were welcoming, friendly, and very professional, providing thorough daily briefings about the route, lunch spots, facilities, and activities. Despite this being a larger flotilla of 11 boats, their hard work kept everything running smoothly, and any engineering questions were quickly resolved. In previous years the lead boat flew a large identifying flag, making it easy to spot when arriving in port. This year it wasn’t as prominently marked, which made finding the lead boat slightly more challenging, but this didn’t affect the overall experience.

As with many flotilla arrivals, the final day at Agana can be busy, with a number of flotillas and bareboats trying to dock at the same time. It can lead to a short wait in the sun while things get sorted. This was similar to our experience the year before, and it would be ideal if a bit more coordination could be added to the final entry process to save crews from having to circle for too long.

The group meal on the hill above Agana on the final evening was a highlight — great quality, excellent value, and a lovely way to end the week, with transport, drinks, and dinner all included.

Overall, we had a fantastic trip and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Sunsail team worked hard to make sure every boat and crew felt well‑looked‑after, and their efforts really made the difference. We’re already looking forward to planning our next adventure!

By far the best sailing holiday we have ever done! The Croatian coastline was stunning, and the food and people were amazing. Our flotilla support team of Adam, Jesse and Becky were incredible, bringing the trip to the next level! Of course the boat was immaculate. We highly recommend a flotilla holiday with Sunsail 🥰

The briefings, information and advice regarding weather conditions, anchorages and harbours enabled us to be well planned and prepared.
The locations were beautiful, local restaurants and shops appropriately recommended and facilities at marinas very good.

I can’t speak highly enough of the Sunsail team who led the Sunsail Flotilla we were part of in Croatia. Finn, Elle and Hrvoje could not have been more attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble, they made the 2 weeks we spent with them on holiday memorable.
I would recommend them as a lead crew.

We have just completed the one week Brac flotilla with our hosts Adam, Becky and Jesse. The trip was exceptional. Fair winds, beautiful boat and the scenery was amazing. Our hosts were second to none. They made the week such fun, and everyone had a fantastic time. Can’t wait to come back.

What an amazing week. We had an excellent time on “Ruby Too” sailing the southern Hvar route. Our lead crew were faultless. Finn was calm, collected and knowledgeable which put us all at ease and he used every opportunity he could to share his knowledge – his passion for sailing is clear! Our tech Hrvoje was so incredibly hardworking, constantly checking everything was working as it should be – he never stops! We had no issues with our boat but that didn’t stop him from taking the time to check everything over. And finally our host Elle was so bubbly, passionate, and couldn’t do enough for us. She kept the laughter flowing and kept us all entertained all week. From suggestions of lunch stops, restaurants, mooring options and everything in between, our “Krka One” lead crew were absolutely top notch.

The boat was pristine, well maintained and had everything we could ask for – the generator and watermaker were well worth opting for a newer boat, giving us less to think about on the nights away from a marina. and she sailed well.

We had a mixture of moorings, with the marinas in Maslinica, Milna, Stari Grad were very well equipped. We spent our free sail day exploring the Smrka submarine tunnels, and then finished off rafting in Sesula which was great fun.

The sailing conditions were consistently good, with calmer mornings and breezier afternoons. The social events in the evening were well planned and made us want to join in more. We got to know the rest of our flotilla well and the team did a great job at making sure everyone was enjoying their holiday.

Whilst this was only my second flotilla, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sunsail, and a massive thanks again to our lead crew for making the trip so amazing.

We had the most amazing holiday hosted by the great team on the lead boat. Finn and Elle organised every day brilliantly, with great briefings and fun socials. They were always full of energy and it was great to see a team that really enjoys the work they do. Hrvoje the tech was really helpful getting the boats settled every night, and was always there to offer help when we had issues or questions about the boat. The sailing was great with just the right wind on most of the days. Thank you so much for a great week from all of us on Ruby Too!

Fantastic week learning to sail with our wonderful tutor Dave. Weather has been perfect, the boat is very well equipped, provisioned and the whole operation well managed. Exceeded expectations on every level.

This was our first flotilla holiday. I’d been to Marina twice last year to learn to sail with Sunsail and loved the sailing, the Dalmatian coast and islands and the whole experience. We had an instructor, Tadek, to complete my RYA day skipper course and my wife completed the ‘competent crew’ course. There were 12 boats including the lead crew of Filip, Carraig and India. The route was excellent taking in the islands of Solta, Brac and Hvar- c.125 nm in total. Marina and Agana have good restaurants and facilities as did all of our town quay/marina stops. Jelsa, Sesula Bay and Stari Grad were our favourite places. The group evening activities ( which weren’t compulsory) were good fun especially the blind folded dinghy race. The Sunsail staff were fabulous and gave us excellent daily sailing briefings with suggested lunch stops etc. India was a lovely host – so pleasant, professional and friendly. Tadek our instructor, who shared our boat Manitou for the whole week, was incredible. The boat was well equipped with a large bow cabin and an electric winch. Tadek is a great teacher but an even more impressive young man. He was great company on board and when we enjoyed meals together ashore. I now feel totally confident about taking a yacht out on our own especially as part of a flotilla.
We had a brilliant week and will be back next year – possibly on the same flotilla again.

The best lead crew ever! Finn, Elanor and Mario were absolutely amazing. They made everything easy and fun. Our catamaran- Calculo was perfect for the four of us. Everything you could hope for in a perfect week with excellent weather and sailing conditions. Loved every minute of it.

We did the Krka flotilla with Finn, Elle, and Mario as our crew. They were the best! So cheerful and helpful. The boat was brand new and very comfortable. We had AC when we were docked and it helped so much. The flotilla itself was amazing. We got to see Croatia from a whole different angle. The little towns we stopped in, were so quint and felt really peaceful. The marinas’ facilities were clean except for one where we stayed on board. The coastline is just breathtaking. What an experience! A must for sea lovers!

They had breakfast and lunch on the boat, and Elle had great suggestions for little restaurants throughout the week. She took care of all the reservations, which made our lives much easier. Finn was super knowledgeable and gave great suggestions for lunch stops where we could anchor and swim.

All and all a very positive experience!

Just completed a fabulous week with friends on the Sunsail Krka flotilla. This was our first experience sailing in Croatia. Despite a last minute route change due to winds, Finn, Elle and Mario took excellent care of us providing not only technical guidance on where best to sail and stop to swim but also looking after social activities and dining recommendations (and reservations).

I had sailed on and off for many years (always with a skipper) and had taken my Day Skipper theory course as a student 34years ago! Now, with retirement approaching my partner and I decided it was time to complete my day skipper course and for her, having never sailed to take on the competent crew course. I retook my theory course with Sunsail’s partner Prometheus. This was challenging but well structured and I completed it the week before. So my theory was fresh but my boat handling very rusty and riddled with bad habits.
We chose Sunsail through family recommendations and for the fact that they could offer a private shower/toilet ( heads) . As it turned out each cabin had a private heads so privacy was not an issue. We met our fellow trainees, a couple from Canada and a new to sailing young woman and our fears of sharing with ‘strangers’ were dismissed almost immediately. As we quickly became firm friends and hugely enjoyed each other’s company both during the busy learning on board and in the evening. Each supporting and complementing each other’s learning.
I would like to save the greatest praise for our instructor Tadeusz ( Tadek ) He is a young man with the wisdom , knowledge and ability of someone much older. He has a calm and friendly nature and excellent teaching skills. He was patient with the newbies and firm when needed. He is also relaxed and fun company. I am sure he has a very bright future.
We had initially planned to do the course in Greece but Croatia proved a beautiful and ideal location and if you are there in June listen out for the nightingales as you rest at anchor in the a beautiful bay and watch the sun go down.

My wife and I just returned from a weeklong charter with Sunsail / The Moorings in the BVI. Our original 46 foot monohull from the Moorings became unavailable due to damage a couple of days before our charter, but the booking team substituted an identical replacement boat from the Sunsail fleet at the last minute.

Our captain, Will Stewart, was the highlight of our trip. With training from the British military and the Royal Yachting Association, he was the perfect captain for us. I wanted to re-acquire my long dormant sailing skills, and by the second day Will turned our charter into an extended sailing school, which is exactly what I was hoping for. A natural teacher whose high standards inspired us to perform our best, Will had us handling most aspects of sailing the boat by the end of our charter.

In addition to his patient instruction, Will coordinated all the details necessary for us to enjoy our trip tremendously, from itinerary planning, to provisioning, to reservations on the nights we dined ashore. On the nights we cooked onboard, Will was a delightful dinner companion for my wife and me.

My wife and I are already planning to come back, this time with friends. We were lucky to have Will as our captain and guide this time, and we will make sure he is with us the next time we sail here.

Our family had a fantastic time in the BVI onboard our Sunsail 424 for a 5 day charter. It had been 30 years since I sailed here (in my single days) and I was excited to share the BVI adventures with my family. From arrival to departure, Sunsail’s customer service was exceptional! Of course, I knew 5 days wouldn’t be enough but my plan work, my family is hooked on sailing vacations and already talking about another Sunsail adventure next year!
