Brilliantly organised – stress free – interesting itinerary

Being out and about on the water, exploring some of the islands and coves at our pace

It was very efficient. From the booking process through to the boat pick-up, everything went smoothly. All our questions were answered. When we arrived, the boat was well set-up and spotlessly clean. We had a great skipper from Dubrovnik (Luka Simonic) who helped to make our holiday really fun and enjoyable.

The staff on our lead boat were absolutely brilliant, they made all the difference. The boat was well equipped and straightforward. It was a great holiday

I did my sailing course with Sunsail many years ago and it was very professional. When we arrived for our charter the staff were very professional. The boat was almost brand new and presented beautifully. We had no problems for the entire week. We would definitely come back and use Sunsail again.

The Sunsail team with us on the flotilla offered an exceptional level of support which meant we had a very enjoyable holiday. Their friendly, competent and fun approach to the week was just right in terms of support.

Great location and yacht. Flotilla holiday made the sailing a lot more relaxing owing the competence and support of the flottila crew, which advised on the places to stay/stop overnight, and ensure that we had a berth. Finn, Eleanor and Carraig were great.

All aspects of trip from booking, to asking questions, to checking in and checking out went very smoothly. We’ll be back before long.

Superb! We are Sunsail owners, and have used our weeks at bases all over the world. I have to say that the staff at the Belize base was among the best we have ever encountered. There had been some miscommunication about our sleep-aboard the night before our charter, but the base manager and cleaning staff went above and beyond to get the boat ready so we didn’t have to scramble to find a hotel. The boat was impeccable (even with the rush cleaning) and the sailing area was fantastic. Provisioning was easy and delivered promptly. Great experience!

We went sailing for one week on board a Sunsail 454 Premium in Belize . Everything was perfect! Easy booking, the staff at Sunsail Base is extremely helpful and attentive, the boat is impeccable, with everything you need and more, the islands are a dream, snorkeling amazing, with turtles, dolphins , manatees in the most preserved reef in the Caribbean. This is our second time and we highly recommended this for everyone.

From the moment we booked with Sunsail, everything was very easy. Becky responded to our emails very quickly, was knowlegdable and made arrangements for taxis etc seamlessly. On arrival at Agana the reception staff were very helpful, we could leave our bags and wondered off to have a leisurely lunch. We were lucky to get access to the boat early, a cheerful welcome message with contact details was in the cabin. We met Tadek our skipper and trainer a short while later for a quick introduction. There are too many high points to go through our weeks experience with Tadek, we had the most brilliant time with him and had the most brilliant instruction from him. We started as 2 potential Comp Crew and ended with 1 Day Skipper and 1 Comp Crew. We were ectastic. It is probably the best holiday we have had as a couple in a very long time. There was a sister boat running a day skippers course and we had the pleasure of meeting them and Michael, the Lead Instructor who was also so knowledgable and very encouraging and positive. I cannot extend our thanks enough to Tadek, for a brilliant, brilliant week. It was such a pleasure to meet you. We did the course in preparation for a sailing trip with friends that is booked for June via Sunsail in Greece, island hopping. We are very much looking forward to this trip. Overall we had a fabulous experience thank you to all involved.

Simply the best. We had from start to finish an outstanding experience. Great place, superb sailing, excellent Sunsail crew – Finn, Jesse, Becky – could not have been more welcoming, helpful, and their skills and warmth made for a great time for everyone. Loved the freedom to sail all day and explore, while coming together in beautiful harbours each evening. We will be back!

Just returned from an amazing 12 day trip out of Placencia on a Sunsail 454 with 2 other couples. Couldn’t have been more perfect. We’ve chartered in many locations, but Belize is really special – so many islands, few boats, no crowds, friendly people. We’ll be back. The Sunsail/Moorings staff are great – among the friendliest and most responsive of any chartering company we’ve used. Miss Rene, Diego, Mateo, Kevin and all of the team were really great. And extra shout out to the captain we had for first four days of the journey – Dwayne – who is exceptional.

Great staff at Sunsail. Very thorough boat & navigation briefings. The Sunsail 424 is a beautiful boat with well thought out design characteristics. Our crew of 5 enjoyed features such as A/C, watermaker, cockpit fridge, and more. The boat was immaculately maintained.

Fantastic in every regard. The captain they provided was just the best! A great sailor, so knowledgeable, and so much fun and friendly. (Thank you Ana!). The boat was perfect – new and everything functioned well. And the BVI’s are just the most magical place to sail. The staff at Sunsail was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend Sunsail and the entire experience.

We had an awesome time on the flotilla sailing around Croatia. The lead crew were great, really helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. They made sure everyone had a really good time.

Really well positioned sailing base with super helpful staff and great boats for the Belizean coast

We took a 340 leopard catamaran for 5 days with two couples on board. Three cabins gave us loads of space and though the catamaran changes the connection to wind and water, it’s the only type of vessel to take in these waters.

The scary warnings they have to give about the implications of running into corral should be tempered by the care they take in the briefing to give you local knowledge and easy to follow waypoints built into the on board gps to help you navigate safely without expert navigational experience.

We initially thought the boat was over specced with hot water showers, saline to fresh water converter, generator, ac, coffee machines and fully equipped galley. When we realised that you need to be fairly self sufficient in these waters for food, water and energy we valued the Gucci nature of the kit.

This was a brilliant way to pootle, swim and fish in the unspoilt south of this amazing country – we will be back and for longer this time.

First time in the BVI and loved it. The people were lovely as was the food. I have to say that much as the yacht was in perfect condition, it was infested with cockroaches which is inexcusable to me. How can a yacht be handed over like that? I found food quite expensive as well, but none of this detracted from the amazing time we had.

I had sailed for years and finally took the RYA five-day skipper course with Michael, the instructor. This was an unforgettable experience. Michael is an extraordinarily knowledgeable and experienced sailor. He demonstrated patience and provided skilled teaching guidance. Revise the course before you go! Michael continually tests your knowledge, which is needed to apply it to the practical course on the boat. It’s hard work but worth it! Sunsail made it very easy for me in the booking process, answering my questions and explaining every detail. I passed and have since sailed with joy and confidence.

We had the best time in Belize. Our captain was so knowledgeable of his country. Every island we stopped at he knew everyone. He would dive and catch fresh fish and conch. Our chef was a delight. His food was so delicious. He had lots of experience in the kitchen.
The sailing was magnificent and the islands were a delight. Snorkeling was awesome.
The staterooms were perfect. Each had its own private bathroom and shower.
Best vacation ever.

For the second time, we came to Athens. This time the itinerary took us to the Saronic Islands. Final destination: Nafplio.
Once again, the services of the Sunsail team in Athens were very good. The supplies were there and of quality. Especially since we had asked for a quick departure, wanting to leave at the end of the afternoon for Egina. Everything was perfectly respected. The same was true for the return.
Finally, a word about the boat: a one-year-old Sunsail 46. Very good boat with the charm of electricity (winch, annex) due to the power generator.
In short, pure happiness!

The flotilla was the right call for us as we had never been here before. It took the stress out of finding a dock, getting there in time and getting around the harbors. The sun, weather, winds were wonderful. We never motored. Provisioning was a short walk. The food, sights and people were amazing. We all (8) had a memorable experience. Made some friends on the other boats. I would come back here and do this all over again in a hearbeat.

Sailing in Belize is superb because it is not crowed (usually had the anchorage to ourselves), good winds and excellent snorkling. What really set it apart was having Rudy as our skipper.

We planned our sailing trip for the shoulder season so we knew we would still have rainstorms. Some of the restaurants on the cayes were closed. We still had a great time and we brought our 3 little kids for their first sailing trip and they did great. The boat was clean and stocked with everything we needed and the marina was responsive and helped throughout the week when questions arose. Our sailing trip was a great experience even with the rain.
