I like the relaxed atmosphere and the assistance from the lead boat which enables us to sail with the minimum crew.

The pre-departure info was very helpful and comprehensive. Checking in and out was very well organised. The flotilla concept is a great confidence builder. The lead team were helpful and highly available. I only didnt give a 10 because we lost 2 days sailing due to the weather, and if we had bare-boated that would likely only have been 1, as the flotilla has to cater for the least-able crew.

Rally helpful crew at the base and all really well organised. Also, importantly, made sure we kept safe in the stormy weather!

Staff were nice, polite, and willing to help

The lead crew (Tom, Paul and Claudia) were great, just the right amount of help and advice. The boat was pretty much new, so was excellent. We had done a flotilla with Neilson in the past and there was no comparison, your guys/boats were so much better!!

From booking to sailing adventure the experience was very professional from Sunsail. This was our first flotilla adventure and the team on the phone, on site and during the sailing were helpful, friendly and offered support to share a great experience. WE will be looking to book again with you in 2025.
Lastly a shout out to Claudia, Ella and Liv who were on our lead boat, ladies you were amazing. 🙂

Wonderful maiden voyage from Agana!

This was our first flotilla and the first time aboard a sail boat for the rest of my family (husband and children ages 8 and 12). The whole experience was fantastic. Team SunSail (Finn, Elle and Carraig) were super organised and made sure everything ran smoothly for us.

A special mention for our instructor Tadek who stayed on board with us for the week and, very patiently and so articulately, ensured we received the training needed to ensure we came away with x2 competent crew and one qualified skipper at the end! Tadek is a huge credit to himself and SunSail. Being able to communicate in such a mature way at such a young age and being able to fit seamlessly in with our family are such admirable skills.

We couldn’t recommend SunSail highly enough and we would encourage any other family new to sailing to give it a go. You won’t regret it.

The most fabulous, fun-filled, friendly week spent with a lovely group of people. Lead crew India, Fil and Frane looked after us really well, and when a threatened storm made us stay safe in Milna marina for 24 hours, we loved having time to explore and relax. Great sailing, well-equiped boat and super company.
This was our 3rd Sunsail flotilla- perfect for having freedom to explore the beautiful Croatian coast and islands with the safety net of the lead crew to give advice and support when needed. Cannot recommend Sunsail highly enough… Just watch out for that duck!

My wife and I visited the Agana Base in Croatia for a flotilla sailing holiday with Sunsail with two good friends and their 10 & 8 year old boys. The whole experience was amazing. The staff were top notch and professional from the start, and clearly seemed to be working as a team across the base . For example when we first arrived from our taxi we were a little lost, so we asked a member of the excellent cleaning staff who helpfully directed us to the office where we immediately met with our lead crew. The experience of sign in and access to the yacht was faultless and the boat (a beautiful 47ft Jeanneau) was immaculately prepared for us, ready for our holiday.
Over the next week the sailing was wonderful & the lead crew Elle (the hostie), Finn (the skipper) and Fintan (the engineer) were utterly brilliant and attentive. They were fun, professional & clear in the their communications throughout, making our holiday fun, adventurous , safe and thrilling . They were helpful in all aspects of our holiday and really went out of their way to attend to any questions we had . The activities like the group meal, competition dingy racing with blindfolds, with the kids and the quizz in the taverna were well organized , easy to opt in or out of, and great fun.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this team to anyone who wants to experience the incredible sailing environment of Croatia. We really couldn’t have asked for a better experience . Thank you Sunsail Team Agana.

This was our first flotilla experience with our family (boys aged 12 and 14). We did the Havar flotilla. For us the support provided by the Sunsail crew was completely outstanding. They could not have been more helpful whether it was helping us manover our boat into a marina on a windy day, fun evening activities, advice on beautiful places to stop during the day to dinner and lunch reservations. Our boat was impeccable and so well kitted out. We will definitely be returning!

The best flotilla week with Sunsail so far due to great company on the other boats and, most importantly, the excellent lead boat crew: Elle, Finn and Fintan, who were brimming with energy, generosity and fun. We loved every moment – snorkelling, swimming in unspoilt coves and doing some glorious sailing. We would have loved some more wind but nothing is perfect. We’ll definitely be back.

We have just finished an absolutely brilliant week on the Krka flotilla. We sailed with two friends and our two sons (8, 10) who had the time of their lives. We couldn’t have asked for a better lead crew (Elle, Finn, Fintan), they had the perfect mix of fun, expertise, patience and support. We will never forget our week with Sunsail and will definitely join another of their flotillas!

Excellent yacht. Clean, tidy, full complement of cooking utensils etc. We’ve used Sunsail lots in the past so knew what to expect.
We were here as 1x ‘learning boat’: 2x day skipper & 3x competent crew plus the rest of the family with qualified Dad on a 2nd yacht and were part of a flotilla.
We were taught by the fabulous Tadek whose knowledge & teaching skills far outweighed his years. He made the course fun: lots of skills acquired whilst still ensuring we had a holiday. He also has the patience of a saint when our 9am ‘set sail’ didn’t happen & when my menopausal moments caused me to have total memory blocks.
Lots of lovely moorings in quaint towns & villages. Lots of help with booking restaurants by the vivacious Lazy hostess India (Lazy was the name of her yacht NOT her attitude to the job!).
Great week on a great yacht with a great company.

Our second flotilla but first with Sunsail and it was first class. Becky, Jesse and Phil were a great team and we felt very well looked after – lots of care was taken with safety/weather conditions which we appreciated, maintenance on the boat was dealt with swiftly and the social side was well organised and a lot of fun. Our 42.3 boat was great – modern, easy to handle and well equipped and we found some lovely spots for lunch. The guaranteed berth every night takes a lot of stress out of the busy season. The gang agreed a week was not enough though – two next year.

Our first charter with Sunsail on the Hvar flotilla was an absolute dream come true! We feel incredibly lucky to have had India, Carriag, and Filip as our lead crew, who were exceptionally trustworthy. Knowing it was our honeymoon, Sunsail prepared champagne on the boat as a welcome gift. India went above and beyond searching for winery tours options after we mentioned our interest, and she booked the perfect spot for us at Hora Farm in Stari Grad which was a highlight. Carriag’s expertise and professionalism stood out, always offering prompt, skilled guidance whenever we needed it. Filip’s morning briefings and precise mooring instructions gave us confidence during each mooring. Their expertise and warm personalities made every moment coasting along the crystal clear Dalmatian coast magical. The Sunsail’s organization and care ensured a joyful adventure. Thank you for making our honeymoon truly magical!

Exceptional instruction from Tadek – Sunsail Agana

We’ve just returned from the 5-day Day Skipper and Competent Crew course with Sunsail in Agana, Croatia, as a family of five. My husband and I hadn’t sailed for over twenty years, and this was the first time on a yacht for our 15-year-old twins and 12-year-old daughter. It has been an incredible week.

The Day Skipper course is full-on – and rightly so – but under Tadek’s expert guidance we went from rusty but enthusiastic to confident and competent, ready to charter on our own next year. Tadek’s sailing skills and depth of knowledge are outstanding. You always feel safe and in capable hands, even when practising the trickier manoeuvres like parking – which you will do a lot – in shifting conditions. Thanks to him, we can now get in and out of a berth wherever we go.

He has excellent judgement when it comes to pacing the course, balancing energy levels with the right timing for more complex navigation and learning exercises. His patience and ability to explain things clearly made him superb with the children, and he adapted seamlessly when our daughter had a wobble about sailing, dropping us at a beach club for a few hours while my husband and the boys continued. His calm, kind, and highly emotionally intelligent approach meant every member of the family learned, enjoyed, and felt included.

Tadek made what could have been an overwhelming week into one of the best family holidays we’ve had. We left not only with new skills but also the confidence to go it alone next year – which is surely the best recommendation we can give.

What a brilliant week on the water. Despite the various weather elements of our week in the Med, we had a wonderful week onboard our sunsail yacht. We were so well looked after by our lead crew of Finn, Fintan and Elle – with great humour and spirit – alongside superbly helpful harbor briefs, technical know-how, sailing support and wonderfully organised restaurant and mooring bookings. When our yacht had a engine failure, the spritely Fintan was sent across and as he worked his way through the problem, we found him a delight to have on board. All was ok in the end and it simply made for more adventure stories of being towed, nudged up river by tenders and using the sails with urgent meaning!

Very welcoming base staff, nice boats (especially the premier option). Easy sailing, spectacular locations. From the Vacation Planer (Thank you Roland) to base on site staff it has been a pure pleasure and dream sailing vacation. Do you know how to sail? Do you know how to operate a powerboat? Don’t wait, go for it. Yes, now and than you might experience minor boat issues, but nothing that the base technicians won’t be able to deal with (this is a part of cruising vacation). Everyone is beyond accommodating and helpful. The base itself is spectacular. This review is based on 7 charters and more to come.

Fantastic week on a flotilla. Looked after really well by Fil, Becky and Jesse. We would highly recommend it – next time we’ll do 2 weeks.

A most enjoyable relaxing and interesting experience. Very well organised, beautiful boats and a nice itinerary. We had 2 great skippers, Dayan and Hana who looked after us very well. Beautiful mooring spots and a very well equipped boat. Everybody had a wonderful time. Thank you to the Sunsail team for making it an unforgettable experience.

An amazing week; our boat was perfect, the Brac trip was beautifull with great locations, but everything was enabled by our amazing Flotilla lead crew. Finn, our skipper was super calm and experienced, Elle was an amazing host who organized everything perfectly and Fintan, our technicien took care of any technical challenges we had. Cannot wait to go again!

Absolutely fantastic flotilla holiday with Sunsail in Croatia. We started from Agana Marina and sailed around Solta, Brac and Hvar. Our Sunsail team of Adam, Becky and Jesse were exceptional. Adam gave fantastic sensible briefs at the beginning of the day so we always had a great, safe plan for the day. Becky booked all our meals and we always sat at the most picturesque table. Jesse sorted out any little problems efficiently. All the competitions and little events they laid on were huge fun for children, teens and adults alike. Croatia was beautiful.

Can’t rate this trip highly enough. Dalmatia Flotilla – 2 adults, 2 teenagers – all taking Competent Crew. Tadek, our instructor and live aboard skipper, was wonderful. His experience, varied teaching style (altering depending on learner style), support, enthusiasm etc could not be bettered. The support team on Krka 1 were friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to meet. The itinerary was fabulous. We are looking at returning next year – potentially to take Day Skipper – on another Flotilla route.
