I like the relaxed atmosphere and the assistance from the lead boat which enables us to sail with the minimum crew.

The pre-departure info was very helpful and comprehensive. Checking in and out was very well organised. The flotilla concept is a great confidence builder. The lead team were helpful and highly available. I only didnt give a 10 because we lost 2 days sailing due to the weather, and if we had bare-boated that would likely only have been 1, as the flotilla has to cater for the least-able crew.

Rally helpful crew at the base and all really well organised. Also, importantly, made sure we kept safe in the stormy weather!

Staff were nice, polite, and willing to help

The lead crew (Tom, Paul and Claudia) were great, just the right amount of help and advice. The boat was pretty much new, so was excellent. We had done a flotilla with Neilson in the past and there was no comparison, your guys/boats were so much better!!

From booking to sailing adventure the experience was very professional from Sunsail. This was our first flotilla adventure and the team on the phone, on site and during the sailing were helpful, friendly and offered support to share a great experience. WE will be looking to book again with you in 2025.

The boat was fantastic and all very easy

Our second flotilla but first with Sunsail and it was first class. Becky, Jesse and Phil were a great team and we felt very well looked after – lots of care was taken with safety/weather conditions which we appreciated, maintenance on the boat was dealt with swiftly and the social side was well organised and a lot of fun. Our 42.3 boat was great – modern, easy to handle and well equipped and we found some lovely spots for lunch. The guaranteed berth every night takes a lot of stress out of the busy season. The gang agreed a week was not enough though – two next year.

Our first charter with Sunsail on the Hvar flotilla was an absolute dream come true! We feel incredibly lucky to have had India, Carriag, and Filip as our lead crew, who were exceptionally trustworthy. Knowing it was our honeymoon, Sunsail prepared champagne on the boat as a welcome gift. India went above and beyond searching for winery tours options after we mentioned our interest, and she booked the perfect spot for us at Hora Farm in Stari Grad which was a highlight. Carriag’s expertise and professionalism stood out, always offering prompt, skilled guidance whenever we needed it. Filip’s morning briefings and precise mooring instructions gave us confidence during each mooring. Their expertise and warm personalities made every moment coasting along the crystal clear Dalmatian coast magical. The Sunsail’s organization and care ensured a joyful adventure. Thank you for making our honeymoon truly magical!

Exceptional instruction from Tadek – Sunsail Agana

We’ve just returned from the 5-day Day Skipper and Competent Crew course with Sunsail in Agana, Croatia, as a family of five. My husband and I hadn’t sailed for over twenty years, and this was the first time on a yacht for our 15-year-old twins and 12-year-old daughter. It has been an incredible week.

The Day Skipper course is full-on – and rightly so – but under Tadek’s expert guidance we went from rusty but enthusiastic to confident and competent, ready to charter on our own next year. Tadek’s sailing skills and depth of knowledge are outstanding. You always feel safe and in capable hands, even when practising the trickier manoeuvres like parking – which you will do a lot – in shifting conditions. Thanks to him, we can now get in and out of a berth wherever we go.

He has excellent judgement when it comes to pacing the course, balancing energy levels with the right timing for more complex navigation and learning exercises. His patience and ability to explain things clearly made him superb with the children, and he adapted seamlessly when our daughter had a wobble about sailing, dropping us at a beach club for a few hours while my husband and the boys continued. His calm, kind, and highly emotionally intelligent approach meant every member of the family learned, enjoyed, and felt included.

Tadek made what could have been an overwhelming week into one of the best family holidays we’ve had. We left not only with new skills but also the confidence to go it alone next year – which is surely the best recommendation we can give.

What a brilliant week on the water. Despite the various weather elements of our week in the Med, we had a wonderful week onboard our sunsail yacht. We were so well looked after by our lead crew of Finn, Fintan and Elle – with great humour and spirit – alongside superbly helpful harbor briefs, technical know-how, sailing support and wonderfully organised restaurant and mooring bookings. When our yacht had a engine failure, the spritely Fintan was sent across and as he worked his way through the problem, we found him a delight to have on board. All was ok in the end and it simply made for more adventure stories of being towed, nudged up river by tenders and using the sails with urgent meaning!

Very welcoming base staff, nice boats (especially the premier option). Easy sailing, spectacular locations. From the Vacation Planer (Thank you Roland) to base on site staff it has been a pure pleasure and dream sailing vacation. Do you know how to sail? Do you know how to operate a powerboat? Don’t wait, go for it. Yes, now and than you might experience minor boat issues, but nothing that the base technicians won’t be able to deal with (this is a part of cruising vacation). Everyone is beyond accommodating and helpful. The base itself is spectacular. This review is based on 7 charters and more to come.

Fantastic week on a flotilla. Looked after really well by Fil, Becky and Jesse. We would highly recommend it – next time we’ll do 2 weeks.

A most enjoyable relaxing and interesting experience. Very well organised, beautiful boats and a nice itinerary. We had 2 great skippers, Dayan and Hana who looked after us very well. Beautiful mooring spots and a very well equipped boat. Everybody had a wonderful time. Thank you to the Sunsail team for making it an unforgettable experience.

An amazing week; our boat was perfect, the Brac trip was beautifull with great locations, but everything was enabled by our amazing Flotilla lead crew. Finn, our skipper was super calm and experienced, Elle was an amazing host who organized everything perfectly and Fintan, our technicien took care of any technical challenges we had. Cannot wait to go again!

Absolutely fantastic flotilla holiday with Sunsail in Croatia. We started from Agana Marina and sailed around Solta, Brac and Hvar. Our Sunsail team of Adam, Becky and Jesse were exceptional. Adam gave fantastic sensible briefs at the beginning of the day so we always had a great, safe plan for the day. Becky booked all our meals and we always sat at the most picturesque table. Jesse sorted out any little problems efficiently. All the competitions and little events they laid on were huge fun for children, teens and adults alike. Croatia was beautiful.

Can’t rate this trip highly enough. Dalmatia Flotilla – 2 adults, 2 teenagers – all taking Competent Crew. Tadek, our instructor and live aboard skipper, was wonderful. His experience, varied teaching style (altering depending on learner style), support, enthusiasm etc could not be bettered. The support team on Krka 1 were friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to meet. The itinerary was fabulous. We are looking at returning next year – potentially to take Day Skipper – on another Flotilla route.

Just been to Croatia. Went on 7 day trip round the south of Split islands. 52ft boat with 7 of us on it. Lovely boat. Adam and Becky were fantastic hosts. Gave all the information and guidance we needed. It’s a third Sunsail trip in a row. Beautiful clear water. Fantastic food. The wind was up and down but managed to get some good heeled over sailing, wind on the nose a lot which was a tad frustrating. Some good social night with the other crews. Highly recommend. We will be definitely booking again next year

We were on the Hvar flotilla with lead crew Adam, Jesse and Becky. They ensured we had great spots each night and looked after us and the boat. This was our first time in Croatia and we were impressed with how good the port facilities were and also just generally how clean and welcoming the places we visited were. We got some great sailing and the kids enjoyed lots of swim stops along the way.

Sunsail is a very professional and very hospitable organization. Before the rental they share high quality and comprehensive information and briefings about the rental, the do’s and dont’s and about the area you will be sailing in. And when I say comprehensive it is comprehensive, it’s a long list of video’s. If you want they also present live briefings on the first day. A Technician will personally introduce you to your boat and it’s specific instuctions. For us, as a family with a lot of sailing experiance in the Dutch coastal waters but not in Croatia, this was a perfect way to be introduced into sailing in these beautiful waters.

And the Split-area (where the base is located) is not only beautiful, but also very easy to sail.

The only “minus” is that is that you have to return the boat with a filled up fuel tank. That would not be a problem, however there is no fuel option in Marina Agana. So you have to fuel up at one of the other locations. These are very busy on the returning day. We filled up one day earlier (Thursday) but that requires some planning.

There is an option to pre-pay for the fuel, however that option is expensive (which makes sense because they will have to refuel somewhere else as well).

In spite of the refueling point, we definitely recommend Sunsail at Marina Agana! A perfect organization in a more than beautiful environment!

We have just returned from doing the week long Hvar flotilla. Highly recommend from start to finish the lead crew Filip, Kieron & India were fantastic! India is a real asset to Sunsail, she always greeted us with a smile at the end of the day & was full of helpful information & advice. Nothing was too much trouble. Kieron was always on hand to resolve any minor issues we had. Filip was friendly, full of advice & encouragement. All in all a 5 star holiday with amazing staff who are a credit to Sunsail & they made our holiday experience seamless. We will return!

We had an unforgettable week sailing the Lipegosa (Leopard 45) with Moorings/Sunsail from Athens. The Saronic Islands and Aegean Sea were breathtaking, and strong winds gave to our captain, Oleh Zubkov, a chance to sharpen his skills. Huge respect for the detailed area briefing at check-in and the outstanding 24/7 technical support throughout the trip. The service at return was top-notch — especially the help with docking and the rare opportunity for early check-out on Friday. Fueling was exceptionally convenient, right at the dock. We also appreciated the smooth transfer to Piraeus port. A truly outstanding charter company — thank you for the perfect vacation!

It was another perfect holiday with Sunsail. We were allocated a new yacht with all modern conveniences. We went on a week long Croatia Brac flotilla with Becky, Jessie, Adam who were an amazing team. Helpful with information on the locations and fun with loads of things to entertain us along the way during the week which you could take part in or not. Thank you so much for making our holiday so memorable.

We did the Brac flotilla leaving Marina Agana on 28th June 2025. We were aboard Girasole which was a 41ft Dufour with 3 cabins with 2 teenage children. From the word go, Becky, Jesse and Adam were hands-on with advice, tips and useful information.

Becky was brilliant with organisation of social events and destinations, things to do and restaurants etc. There was no pressure to attend any events, however we did attend things like the pub quiz (not something we would normally do) and we were glad we did as it was loads of fun and we got to know all the other boats. Similarly evening meals with other boats. If you want to attend then great, if not, no problem.

Jesse was super helpful with a couple of minor snags on the boat and always on hand to assist and offer advice. Really lovely bloke, nothing was too big an ask, even a minor medical issue with my son. He also helps tie up in the evening and is a super confident sailor/yachtsman.

We were relative newcomers to sailing so were a tad apprehensive at first and explained this to Adam, the lead skipper. He helped us leave port on day 1 (in fact every day) and was always there to help us moor in the evenings. Another lovely chap, very experience as a skipper and super calm when everyone comes in to moor in the afternoon/evening. Morning briefings always clear, well structured and good fun.

All in all, couldn’t recommend Sunsail or this bunch of crew/staff anymore. Thank you Becky, Jesse and Adam for an unforgettable week. If we could give 6 stars we would. Super stuff x

We booked a 3 week holiday with Sunsail in Lefkada and sailed the Southern Ionian Islands. First week, myself and the wife did the flotilla with Sinéad, Inga and Luke. We had a amazing week aboard a 37 foot Dufour 2024. Lovely new modern boat. The lead crew were amazing, from the briefings to the meals and the assistance. They had their work cut out for them with 10 boats and a busy time of year, but they simply got on with it and made it a breeze for everyone. Our second and third week was a bareboat on the same boat and we simply choose a few new places to visit and revisit our favorites, the boat was perfect for just the two of us. Then the third week we were joined by 3 adult kids and that was a squeeze, but we managed, certainly would book a 42 foot with 2 heads if doing that again. But overall the experience with Sunsail was flawless, they are very well organised and the boats was top notch. This is the 3rd time using Sunsail and I will be back again for sure.
