Day 1

Port Louis Marina to Dragon Bay

Your Grenada bareboat itinerary starts at our base in Port Louis Marina. From here you’ll glide north along Grenada’s lush coastline to Dragon Bay, one of the island’s protected marine areas. Dragon Bay’s colourful reef is known for diving and snorkelling, or if you prefer to stay onshore just relax on the pretty beach with a good book.

Day 2

Dragon Bay to Tyrell Bay

Today you’ll enjoy your first spell of adventurous sailing. Head north from Dragon Bay, keeping the coast of Grenada on your starboard side and passing tiny Ronde Island. Continue north until you reach Tyrell Bay on Carriacou. Moor or anchor in the bay and head beneath the waves to see golden moray eels, nurse sharks and turtles swimming along the magnificent corals.

Stunning Caribbean beaches

Explore the beaches Carriacou is known for. Paradise Beach in Hillsboro Bay and Sandy Island, a marine preserve, are perfect for snorkelling, diving or just relaxing.

Suggested lunch spots

With crystal clear waters humming with abundant sea life, coral-encrusted canyons and a swim-through cave, the tiny private Ile de Ronde is perfect for a lunch stop.

Day 3

Tyrell Bay to Salt Whistle Bay

Today you’ll continue your bareboat itinerary in the Grenadines, heading for the northern tip of Mayreau, one of the smallest islands in the chain. Drop anchor in Salt Whistle Bay and head ashore. Hike to the top of the hill for breathtaking views from the Catholic Church or relax on the white sand beach.

Discover Salt Whistle Bay

Dine on Caribbean lobsters

Tuck into a tempting lobster barbecue on the beach at Salt Whistle Bay. Caribbean lobsters are abundant and irresistible.

 

Suggested lunch spots

Stop and enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants in Clifton Harbour. With 32 diving sites nearby, numerous perfect beaches to relax on and hiking trails to explore, you’ll have plenty to do.

Day 4

Salt Whistle Bay to Tobago Cays

Carve a gentle arc into the shimmering Caribbean waters to the famous Tobago Cays. Protected by a horseshoe reef, this collection of five tiny islands is located just east of Salt Whistle Bay and is famous for scuba diving and snorkelling. Swim with green turtles, octopi and colourful tropical fish in the crystal clear waters or head ashore to explore a treasure trove of pristine and secluded beaches.

Day 5

Tobago Cays to Sandy Island

Cruise north through the Grenadines, past Palm Island and Union Island to tiny Sandy Island. Floating majestically just off the western coast of Carriacou, Sandy Island is a perfect stretch of sea and sand, perfect for a desert island getaway. Head for the rich diving waters of the marine protected area on the western shore and enjoy snorkelling and diving amidst colourful marine life.

Discover Sandy Island

Swim in a natural pool

Visit the natural pool in the middle of Sandy Island, where you can bathe beneath the shade of the palms and wash the salt off your skin.

Suggested lunch spots

Cut a trail through the Caribbean to Clifton Harbour on Union Island. With a handful of shops and restaurants dotting the harbour and hiking trails that reveal spectacular views, this is a perfect lunch stop.

Day 6

Sandy Island to St. George, Grenada

An exhilarating five-hour sail south, passing the delicate string of Grenadine islands to your port side, takes you to St. George’s, Grenada. The picturesque capital of the Caribbean, St. George’s is a perfect place to launch from for an island tour. Explore lush rainforests, tumbling waterfalls, pristine beaches and beautiful hiking trails throughout Grenada, the Island of Spice.

Day 7

St. George's to Port Louis Marina

On the last day of your Grenada bareboat sailing holiday you’ll make the short journey from St. George to our base at Port Louis Marina. Use your extra time to relax and sample George’s of Grenada’s delicious cuisine at a local restaurant, or take a walking tour of St. George’s from Market Square, taking in the lovely old buildings, Carenage Harbour and a bustling collection of shops and cafés dotting the narrow streets.
