Italian Cuisine Ponza Flotilla
Enjoy a fantastic week sailing around the amazing Pontine islands of Ventotene, Ponza and Palmarola to explore the traditional local cuisine. SailEATtalia’s Italian cuisine flotilla will ensure you have the support and assistance of a lead yacht with professional crew on board.
Each Italian region has its own local food and delicacies, so you can expect truly authentic, traditional food in every island that you visit. Sail, eat and drink your way around Italy’s legendary Pontine Islands as an add-on to your yacht charter for an additional €385 per person, which includes some dinners.
There is a chance that the flotilla route may be changed due to weather conditions or particular/unforeseen events.

Day 1
Procida
Spend the evening in Procida’s pastel-hued marina, nestled on the northeast corner of the island. Brace yourself for a warm welcome with a refreshing drink and pizza party as you get to know your new flotilla companions at our base. Sleep on board your yacht and wake up to your morning flotilla yacht briefing.

Lingua Beach
Close to port, relax on the scenic beach of Lingua Beach before your flotilla sets off.
Day 2
Forio-Ischia
Head towards Ischia and stop in the port of Forio. Here we will eat the typical and famous Rabbit, a recipe that has been passed down through the generations (for those who are not rabbit lovers there will be an alternative entree available). Unwind and bask in the spectacular views from this artisanal restaurant at the top of the mountain and visit a traditional wine cellar.

Day 3
Ischia to Ventotene
Head far out into the Gulf of Naples to the lively island of Ventotene. Enjoy a straight shot of blue water sailing as you leave Ischia in your wake. Navigate to Porto Romano on the island’s northeast coast. Here, we will moor in safety to explore the peaceful town on the island that boasts brilliantly colored vegetation and panoramic views.

Wreck diving
Ventotene is one of the greatest scuba diving spots in Italy, and home to a diving academy. Explore the wrecks, treasures and marine life of the Ventotene Marine Reserve.
Piazza Castello
Lying directly above Port Romano, the epicenter of Ventotene town is a textbook example of authentic Italian seaside village charm.
Day 4
Ventotene to Ponza
Sail on to the next island in the Pontine chain, beautiful Ponza, which is situated 25 miles to the west. Here we will moor overnight in the Port of Ponza on the eastern side of the island. Snorkel the crystal-clear waters and explore the beaches and spectacular geological formations Ponza is known for. End the day’s adventures with a group dinner at a local restaurant, where delectable seafood cuisine is satisfying after a splendid day of sailing.

Discover Ponza
Suggested lunch spots
Enjoy a late lunch on Isola Zannone to the north of Ponza. This rocky islet is great for bird watching and offers incredible views across the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Day 5
Ponza to Palmarola
Next in our sights is Palmarola, the most westerly of the Pontine Islands. Serving primarily as a nature reserve, Palmarola’s coast is dotted with incredible cliffs and grottos, allowing you to dive and snorkel alongside the rich marine life of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We’ll anchor overnight at this craggy gem of the Mediterranean.

Day 6
Palmarola to Port of Ischia
Leaving Palmarola in our wake, we’ll break up the day’s journey with a lunch stop at the tiny islet of Santo Stefano, just east of Ventotene. Then we set course for the main port on the northeast coast of the island of Ischia. Mooring overnight, enjoy a sociable happy hour before then stroll the bustling main street riddled with great nightlife and cuisine.

Ischia Port
Head back to Ischia but this time we will stop in the main port where you can enjoy wine tasting in one of the oldest wineries of the island and a buffet of some of the delicious traditional local food.
