Day 1
Lefkas
Begin your flotilla holiday in the traditional Greek village of Lefkas. Enveloped by the emerald Ionian, Lefkas is draped in miles of heavenly beaches famous throughout the Greek Isles. Meet the rest of your flotilla companions and explore the narrow alleys of Lefkas or head for the beaches along the west coast. From sweeping arcs of uninterrupted sand to remote, white stone shores, beaches in every shape and size await.

Kitesurfing
Head for spectacular Milos beach on the western shores of Lefkas. This unspoiled beach is blessed by strong winds and high waves that are perfect for the adrenaline rush of kitesurfing.
Day 2
Lefkas to Vathi, Meganisi
Follow the breakwater out of Lefkas marina, past the tiny islet of Forti and into the Ionian Sea. The first leg of your flotilla journey takes you south along the length of Lefkas Island to tiny, green Meganisi, believed to be a part of Odysseus’ Kingdom in Homeric mythology. The town of Vathi is home to one of the world’s largest natural harbours and represents a beautiful spot to moor for the night. Hike the forested hills around Vathi for spectacular views across the Ionian Sea or get to know your new flotilla friends better in a local tavernas while watching one of Greece’s beautiful sunsets.

Vathi’s sunken plane
Snorkel the mysterious sunken plane wreck located at the bottom of the shallow harbour.
Suggested lunch spots
Head east from Lefkas harbour for the wide bay of Porto Varco. Here you can sit on the broad and beautiful white sand beach and enjoy a leisurely lunch with your toes in the ocean.
Day 3
Vathi, Meganisi to Sivota
Sail towards Sivota. There are lots of bays to stop for a swim along the way. You will sail past Skorpios, originally owned by Aristotle Onassis and can anchor in the bay to the south where he built a beach hut for his 2nd wife Jackie Kennedy.

Discover Sivota
A vibrant, charming, lively, picturesque village. It gets especially busy on weekends, with yachts arriving daily onto the pontoons. This influx brings a wave of visitors/sailors, making for a lively atmosphere. There are many fantastic restaurants to choose from, all offering delicious food.
Day 4
Fiscardo, Kefalonia
Sail towards the celebrated island of Kefalonia. Enjoy a few miles of exciting open water sailing as you make for one of Greece’s most famous islands, best known for Captain Corelli, olive oil and ancient history. The port of Fiscardo is a traditional Grecian island village with a history stretching back thousands of years. Today Fiscardo is home to many fine restaurants and tavernas where you can while away a quiet afternoon with your new friends.

Day 5
Free sailing day – Lefkas
Now that you’ve had time to familiarise yourself with your yacht and gain confidence on the water, a free sailing day is your chance to explore the Ionian at your leisure and seek your own personal adventures independently or in small groups. From Fiscardo, the numerous bays, beaches, coves and inlets of sleepy Kefalonia are yours to explore, while a short hop across the Ionian will take you to Ithaca, said to be the birthplace of Odysseus. Beyond Ithaca, tiny, uninhabited Arkoudi and Atokos are great fun to explore. If you’re unsure what to do with your free sailing day, your lead crew will be on hand with top recommendations and the latest weather reports to ensure you make the most of your free time.

Day 6
Palairos
Head towards the mainland town of Paleros. Paleros is a great spot to catch the local flavour of the Ionian Isles, offering summertime puppet shows, theatrical performances and traditional Greek dancing in the town square.
Dine on freshly caught octopus, bream and bass with your flotilla companions at one of the many waterfront tavernas.

Anchor in Varko Bay to enjoy swimming in the warm, clear Ionian. This sheltered bay is the perfect place to stop for your first lunch anchorage of the week.
Day 7
Abelike Bay to Lefkada
Make your way back to our Lefkas base. Back in Lefkas once more, your final day is a chance to take in any Ionian highlights you may have missed so far, or simply chill out and soak up the atmosphere. Try your hand at one of Lefkas’ popular water sports. The flyfish hydroplane is an adrenaline rush, allowing you to skip off the surface of the water like a stone. If you’d rather enjoy a quieter, more Zen-like climax to your flotilla holiday, then hiking Lefkas’ wooded hills or enjoying a shot of ouzo in a quiet taverna is the perfect way to spend your last day in the Ionian.

Abelike Bay or Port Atheni
Abelike Bay and Port Atheni are two picturesque locations on Meganisi Island, offering secluded and peaceful surroundings for yacht charterers.
Abelike Bay is a natural harbor with calm, clear waters, perfect for anchoring. Port Atheni, on the southern tip of the island, is a small but beautiful port with facilities for yachts. Both spots provide a serene escape and the chance to enjoy the beauty of Meganisi’s coastline.

Day 3
Kastos or Kalamos
Kastos and Kalamos are two small islands in the Ionian Sea, both perfect for those looking to experience quiet, unspoiled Greece.
Kalamos is the larger of the two, with traditional villages and excellent hiking opportunities. Kastos, a smaller and quieter island, offers peaceful anchorages and a slower pace of life. These islands provide a great opportunity for yacht charterers to explore small fishing villages and tranquil coves.

Kastos:There are a few mooring spots in the harbor at Kastos, but it’s often best to anchor in one of the small, sheltered bays surrounding the island.

Day 4
Kioni, Ithaca
We head south towards Ithaca. The picturesque village of Kioni. Bougainvillea-clad traditional houses. It’s tiny but stunning and not to be missed. On the way, we have the island of Atokos. To the east is One House Bay, where we have our own wild pigs. A little further to the south is Cliff Bay. Stunning natural white cliffs towering above. One of the deepest areas we have at around 300M depth in places….so deep even the depth sounders cant return the signal in the black oily waters.

Explore the village of Kioni
The village surrounds the harbour like an amphitheater. Often there is a cross wind in the afternoons. Water comes in a bowser that needs to be called and sometimes there is a tap available on the dock. Onion Pie is the specialty.
Day 5
Fiscardo
Fiscardo is the northernmost village on the island of Kefalonia, famous for its charming harbor, vibrant nightlife, and excellent dining options. This cosmopolitan village combines modern amenities with traditional Greek island charm, making it a popular stop for yachts cruising the Ionian Sea. The waterfront is lined with colorful Venetian-style buildings, and the area is known for its picturesque views and lively atmosphere.

Its proximity to Lefkas makes it an easy and beautiful first stop for a flotilla, offering a mixture of nature, culture, and local flavor.

Meganisi Port: The port of Spartochori has a small harbor with a few moorings available for yachts. These moorings are typically first come, first served. It’s advisable to arrive early in the day during peak season to secure a spot.
Anchorages: Alternatively, you can anchor off in the sheltered bays around Spartochori, such as Agios Nikolaos Bay, which offers good protection and crystal-clear waters. The anchorage offers peaceful surroundings ideal for swimming and relaxing.
Things to do
Explore the Village: Wander through the narrow streets of Spartochori with its traditional whitewashed houses, cobblestone lanes, and beautiful sea views. Stop by a local café or taverna to enjoy a fresh Greek meal or a glass of ouzo.
Swim at Agios Nikolaos Bay: This beautiful bay is perfect for a swim in crystal-clear waters. Its peaceful atmosphere offers a great spot to relax.
Hike to the Viewpoints: The village’s hillside location provides excellent hiking opportunities. A short walk up from the village offers spectacular panoramic views of the Ionian Sea and nearby islands.
Visit the Cave of Papanikolis: A short boat trip or hike can take you to the Papanikolis Cave, located on Meganisi’s western coast. It’s famous for its large opening, used by a submarine during World War II.

Discover Kalamos Town
Ancient ruins and spectacular views
Take the walk up from the harbour to the ruins of the monastery for fantastic views over the Ionian towards mainland Greece.
Suggested lunch spots
Drop anchor in one of the many coves dotted along the north end of Kalamos Island and enjoy swimming in the deep turquoise waters, followed by lunch on deck. Remember to keep your eyes peeled for dolphins.
Day 4
Vathi, Ithaca
Turn due south out of Kalamos Town, and take on the longest leg of the week, a 20nm reach to Vathi, on the famous island of Ithaca, home to Odysseus. Continue down the coast until you reach a narrow waist 200m across. Navigate through the narrow entrance into the Kolpos Molou Bay, which shelters the little town of Vathi, the capital of Ithaca. Moor up and revel in this center of Greek archaeology, folklore, and culture.

Today is your day to shine. Put your sailing skills to the test and gain confidence on the water with your free sailing day. Set out for the secluded bays and harbours dotted around the Ionian, stopping at sleepy fishing villages along the way or simply relaxing. It’s entirely up to you. No matter what you choose, your lead crew is available to give you top tips and the latest weather reports.

Day 6
Vlycho
Vlycho is a small, tranquil bay on the southeastern coast of Lefkas, known for its serene waters and stunning natural beauty. A favorite among sailors, Vlycho offers a peaceful retreat from the busier tourist spots, with traditional Greek charm and scenic views of the surrounding islands. It’s an excellent location to unwind after a week of sailing, providing easy access to Lefkas Town and nearby attractions.
Mooring
Vlycho Bay Harbor: The bay has a small harbor with a limited number of mooring spots, suitable for smaller yachts. As it is popular among visiting yachts, it’s advisable to arrive early, especially during peak season.
Anchorages: For those seeking more tranquility, anchoring in the bay itself is a good option. The shallow, calm waters offer great conditions for anchoring, and the surrounding scenery adds to the overall experience.

Relax in the Bay: Vlycho is a perfect spot for relaxing, swimming, and paddleboarding in its calm, clear waters.
Visit the Vlycho Village: The village itself is peaceful, with a few traditional Greek tavernas and cafes offering fresh, local dishes.
Explore Lefkas Town: Only a short sail away from Vlycho, Lefkas Town is vibrant with shops, markets, and plenty of historical sites, including the Lefkas Castle and the Archaeological Museum.

Port Athens, Maganisi to Lefkas
Finish your Meganisi flotilla holiday back in Lefkas, where you have one last chance to enjoy drinks and dinner with your flotilla sailing companions at one of the town’s many restaurants. You might even have time to explore the town’s charming boutiques and jewelry galleries or take a pleasant walk to the Faneromeni monastery for picturesque views over the sea and salt marshes.

Lefkada Marina
Arrive to the base and get settled into your floating home for the week. If you have time explore the town of Lefkas and grab a bite at a local restaurant. Facilities here include: fuel, water, trash, laundry, and bathrooms.

Day 2
Sivota – Lefkada
Leaving Lefkas Town behind and sailing down the length of the island towards Sivota. There are lots of bays to stop for a swim along the way. You will sail past Skorpios, originally owned by Aristotle Onassis and can anchor in the bay to the south where he built a beach hut jor his 2nd wife Jackie kennedy. Tonight is a group meal.

A vibrant, charming, lively, picturesque village. It gets especially busy on weekends, with yachts arriving daily onto the pontoons. This influx brings a wave of visitors/sailors, making for a lively atmosphere. There are many fantastic restaurants to choose from, all offering delicious food.
Day 3
Fiskardo – Kefalonia
Head to the celebrated island of Kefalonia. Enjoy a few miles of exciting open water sailing as you make for one of Greece’s most famous islands, best known for Captain Corelli, olive oil and ancient history. The port of Fiscardo is a traditional Grecian island village with a history stretching back thousands of years. Today Fiscardo is home to many fine restaurants and tavernas where you can while away a quiet afternoon with your new friends.

Discover Fiskardo
Fiskardo’s charm lies in its ability to offer a mix of relaxation, exploration, and adventure. Whether you’re interested in history, nature, or just soaking up the sun, Fiskardo has something to offer every visitor. Visit the Roman Cemetery archaeological site near the harbour, includes ancient graves and sarcophagi dating back to the Romans. There is a dive centre for guided trips. Several walkable beaches or swim off the back of the boat. Explore venetian architecture as its one of the few places on the island that wasn’t destroyed in the 1953 earthquake and a short walk from teh village is the remains of an old venetain lighthouse and the newer one built by the British in the 19th century. Agia Eufemia – Kefalonia
Nestled on the stunning island of Kefalonia, Agia Eufemia is a charming coastal village that beckons sailors with its picturesque beauty and inviting waters. As you approach this serene destination, you’ll be greeted by the emerald hues of the Ionian Sea and the striking backdrop of lush, rolling hills. The waters around Agia Eufemia are generally calm, but always check the local weather forecast before setting sail. The prevailing winds in the region are typically light to moderate, making for pleasant sailing conditions. Be mindful of the occasional strong gusts, especially during the summer months.

Vathi – Meganissi
Vathi is the main port of Meganisi, a small island located just E of Lefkada. Filled with fishing boats and sail boats, known for its picturesque and natural surroundings. The harbour is the heart of the village and the waterfront is lined with tavernas, cafes and shops. Enjoy some superb local greek cuisine.

Vathi’s sunken plane
Discover the mysterious sunken plane wreck located at the bottom of the shallow harbour, best viewed from shore in the early morning.

Head east from Lefkas harbour for the bays fanari, abelike and athani.
Day 7
Lefkada Marina- Day 7
This night will be our final evening and the lead boat will organise either dinner or drinks ashore where prizes will be given out related to the weeks activities. We head back to the base to return your yacht, along the way enjoy the beautiful sail and scenery. Try your hand at one of Lefkas’ popular water sports. The flyfish hydroplane is an adrenaline rush, allowing you to skip off the surface of the water like a stone. If you’d rather enjoy a quieter, more Zen-like climax to your flotilla holiday, then hiking Lefkas’ wooded hills or enjoying a shot of ouzo in a quiet taverna is the perfect way to spend your last day in the Ionian.
