The Magenta Project Regatta

This year we are delighted to announce that Sunsail and The Magenta Project have teamed to launch the first-ever The Magenta Project Regatta for those that share the vision of The Magenta Project. Companies and groups who want to take part can enter a team into this special one-day event – allowing their guests to build teams, network and enjoy the thrill of competitive sailing, while raising funds for this incredible charity. The regatta, comprising three individual races on the Solent, is open to all sectors. Sailing experience is not necessary, as training from our professional crew will be given throughout the event. So why not join us for a fantastic day on the water.

About the charity

Founded in 2015 by members of the all-female 2014-15 Volvo Ocean Race team ‘Team SCA’, The Magenta Project is a leading UK sailing charity that is committed to creating equal access and opportunities for women in sailing. Since completing the 2014-2015 Volvo Ocean Race, The Magenta Project has lead a growing movement. Its message has been heard by key figures at the top of the sport and changes are starting to be made to enable and support greater female participation within major events, including the World Match Racing Tour, The Extreme Sailing Series and The Volvo Ocean Race.
