Beachfront cafes, restaurants and bars draw in both foreign and local tourists, but the resort rarely feels overcrowded. Restaurants are everywhere, with fresh seafood topping the list of cuisines available, although you can easily find western menus including great French and Italian fare. The fishing fleet leaves port every evening and each morning the fresh catch is deposited quayside for transport to the local markets. After hours the resort is pretty lively and if you are looking for somewhere to socialize, this is the place.
And then there’s the beach! With a wide range of watersports available and with its pristine golden sand, the beach is an obvious attraction. For those less beach inclined or looking for a cultural experience, Nha Trang boasts a cluster of Cham towers dating from the 9th century and a 42 foot statue of the Buddha overlooking the town. The market is a sight in itself and there are numerous shops selling all manner of goods. Many of the surrounding islands are only a short sail away where you can stop for a swim, snorkel and fabulous lunch.
