FAQ’s - Is winter racing for me?

1/. Do you get to see much of the Canary Islands?
Yes, all events offer a varied itinerary, with a mix of sailing and free time for you to explore at your own pace (see the event itineraries). We also offer Yacht Charter, which will allow you to explore at your leisure.

2/. I have never sailed/raced before, can i have a go?
Yes, any of these events can be done as a skippered charter, we do ask that you have a basic understanding of sailing and the terminology, and we do recommend at least a competent crew level or similar.

3/. I am looking to build sailing miles and experience, which event do you suggest?
The Chase the Sun Regatta is ideal, over 2000nm over 3 legs, this will give you plenty of miles and experience.

4/. Do you offer flight inclusive packages?
We do not have flight inclusive packages, however our flights team will be happy to look at flying options for you and are often able to get some good rate.

5/. Do I need to bring bedding or waterproofs?
For the Chase the Sun Regatta, you will need to bring your own bedding, but it is provided for the Cruising Rally and Race Series. Waterproofs can be hired for all events.

6/. What is the age limit?
Race Series and Delivery is 18yrs. Cruising Rally is 12yrs and accompanied by an adult.
