Overview

If you’re looking to build your sailing miles and get some ocean sailing experience under your belt, all with a bit of competition, then this is the perfect event for you. Join 15+ other Sunsail F40’s (including a lead and committee boat) as they chase the sun and race down to the Canaries, over a series of three legs.

Enjoy a two day stopover in La Rochelle, France and Cadiz, Spain which separate the legs. In February 2012, the course will be reversed as you chase the sun and race back to Portsmouth. 
 
The winner takes all and it is first across the line on each race, which will win a variety of prizes, the overall winner will walk (sail) away with a vacation for each member of crew. What better way to improve your sailing skills, get some serious mileage and have a great time, all with the potential to win a free vacation at the end of it!

    Ideal for individuals or experienced groups
    Building sailing miles (2120 nm)
    Ocean sailing experience

    Dates/Prices:
    Leg 1 - $3,670 per boat / $1,020 per cabin (10/22/11 or 02/27/12)
    Leg 2 - $5,275 per boat / $1,340 per cabin (10/29/11 or 02/17/12)
    Leg 3 - $3,670 per boat / $940 per cabin (11/08/11 or 02/11/12)
    All Legs - $10,790 per boat / $2,700 per cabin
     
    Duration: Approx 21 days
     
    Qualifications: Coastal Skipper with 500+ miles or equivalent. Crew places available for competent crew or equivalent.
