Our base at Port Solent, is perfectly placed for exploring the stunning sailing area of the south coast. On a Solent sailing itinerary you can head out of Portsmouth Harbour, past historic Portchester Castle and cruise across to the Isle of Wight, enjoying the excellent sailing conditions along the way. The New Forest and Dorset coastline are beautiful areas also within easy reach on this UK Yacht Charter.

Day 1: Arrive Port Solent, Portsmouth

Sunsail's UK HQ at Port solent offers a fantastic selection of bars and restaurants to get your trip off to a perfect start. Sail past the spectacular backdrop of Portchester Castle down to the Navy & Historic Dockyard, home of the Warrior and Victory.

Day 2: Cowes (8 nm)

Moor up in Cowes Yacht Haven, home to the world famous Cowes Week and at the center of the Solent, Cowes really is "Yacht Haven". Chandleries, clothing shops, restaurants and pubs abound to make a lively yet relaxing place. A good re-provisioning stop from the town center supermarket.

Day 3: Yarmouth (7 nm)

For a great atmosphere enter the harbor or pick up one of the buoys just outside and take the water taxi in. Ashore you will find a bustling little town offering a great night out and a walk along the pier.

Day 4: Poole (12 nm)

A few hours sails from the Solent, Poole is Europe's largest natural harbor and home to stunning sandy beaches. From Poole Quay, visit pubs, restaurants, the Aquarium and Poole Pottery, or for the quiet life visit Brownsea Island or Wareham.
