General Conditions

From November to March, conditions for a Thai yacht charter are at their very best. The tidal range is from 3 – 7 feet (1 – 2 meters), the weather is warm and dry, north-easterly winds are light to moderate, the seas are calm and the sun shines – perfect conditions for a Thai sailing vacation.

Scenic overnight anchorages are plentiful. Skippers need to keep an eye on the charts and watch out for coral reefs and the sand dunes that emerge during low tide. Koh Chang is a destination suited to confident sailors with a reasonable level of sailing expertise.
