Langkawi Bareboat Yacht Charter

Sailing Conditions

General Conditions

From November to April, the climate in Langkawi is sunny and dry with calm seas. From May to October the winds tend to be stronger with the occasional tropical shower, although most of the sailing area remains sheltered.

There is a good mix of secluded anchorages and marinas with provisioning facilities at which to make overnight stops. Winds are generally north-easterly in the summer and south-westerly in the winter months. The tidal range is approximately 7 – 10 feet (2 – 3 meters). Yacht charters in Malaysia are more suitable for competent sailors with a fair amount of previous sailing experience.
