First time in Turkey a great experiance
Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?Good boat , nearly new. Quality marinas. meals out a good prices and great sailing.
Is there anything else you would like to share?Had 35 knots of wind on a couple of days and found it difficult to get a decent weather forecast. As the Sunsail base has everybodies mobile no it could be handy if they were to text a daily weather forecast every morning
Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?Nearly new and just the right size for 2 people
Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen? Some really nice bays to moor up in with friendly Tavernas

A turkish paradise, for the brave...
Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?Sunsail...my second trip bareboat chartering (1st in BVI) and was pleasantly suprised with Turkey. We made our own flotilla and went with our family in two 32ft yachts. The cruising ground is extensive and challenging in places. The turkish if not a polished tourist performer aim to please and are always asking if you will recommend their service which was always most adequate. We went in may and found it too be quiet, warm and friendly, able to find anchourages easily and the winds quite managable for a holiday.
Is there anything else you would like to share?turkish meze...hmmm lovely. be careful when going stern to at restaurants, they are very keen to get you in there and rush you so do it at your pace. they will help with lazy lines etc and will use a rib to push you tight. Buy Rod Heikels guide to the region - excellent! Beware the euro and their ideas on exchange rates!!
Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?Ship shape and Sunsail fashion, great start to the holiday. (inventory complete, clean and tidy)
Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?Plan your trip well, i went the first week of the season and the briefing was patchy. remember do the mileage in the mornings as the sea/winds build in the afternoon and evening but is dead calm overnight. long passages of 15-20miles try to drink less the night before and go early. reefing lines on the 32ft we had were rigged incorrectly so were very difficult to shake out, worth playing with just for your peace of mind.
Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?Skinny dipping in Cleopatra's bay (see pic 1) one evening with phophorous plankton, they are the fire flies of the sea. Mooring in Bodrum, this must be the tightest gap i have ever slipped into!! but visit the castle, good couple of hours. Okluk was nice good restaurant. the seven islands was nice. The food at Rose mary restaurant in Cokertme.
