General Conditions

Sunsail’s sailing area in Turkey’s Bozurun Peninsula is vast and boasts ideal sailing conditions for an Orhaniye yacht charter.  Steady north-westerly winds range from 10 - 20 knots (11 – 23 mph) and there are cool sea breezes in the afternoons which die away at night.

The thermal Meltemi winds blow from May to October and can be particularly strong in July and August, making this location a suitable for confident sailors with a reasonable level of experience.

With blue skies, consistent warm weather and perfect sailing conditions, Orhaniye is the perfect point of embarkation for a bareboat sailing vacation in Turkey. During the cruising season, water temperatures average 71 F (22 C).
