A Memorable First Sailing Holiday

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

Our Sunsail experience was fantastic, from booking the holiday to leaving the boat, We were met with smiles on arrival at the airport, and fantastic staff at the resort (Gocek) who could not help enough, My Girlfriend was a little apprehensive as this was a new experience of a bareboat holiday, the resort staff gave as much time as we needed to ensure we were familiar with the boat before we set off.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

During the trip we had a slight problem of own own doing but a quick call to the marina and the Sunsail maintenance staff were there in the hour and we were off cruising the med again.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

We only hired a small Dufour 30 but the boat was comfortable, spacious and clean and well equipped we couldn't have wanted more, we weren't the super yacht of the seas but we got to places they couldn't even see an this made the holiday that much more memorable.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

You have to try it to experience the freedom of cruising the med at your own leisure and the tranquillity of being the only yacht moored in clear blue waters drinking champagne.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

The holiday was so perfect that i proposed to my girlfriend in Bouniouz Bay and 2 months ago were now happily married. We are now planning the next sunsail holiday with freinds.

A fantastic trip to Turkey, You see places just not accessible from a land based holiday.

The yacht was in first class condition, the briefing was informative and we had all the support we needed. Pre provisioning was a great help.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

A well chosen base with plenty to see and do.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

It was nearly new in great condition and fun to sail

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Try everything including the Turkish bath. A real cultural experience.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Started in Gocek. Highlights included the Dalyan river trip to see the turtles. We liked kapi creek so much we went back for another night.

Sailing delight with challenge, scenery and interest always with charming, helpful people

Sunsail provided an efficient and immaculately clean service by courteous and helpful staff. Informative and supportive in bareboat sailing.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Could have been a little more informative about the harbours and moorings where local people charged over the odds for evening meals.

Outstanding. modern yacht with extraordinariraly good sailing characteristics.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

Plan alternative to the published route where high winds around the Capes could be dangerous

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

Bay of Fethiye - many small harbours. Good 30Knots of wind across the Bay
