Day 1: Kea Island (14 nm)

At the western edge of the Cyclades, you will find the mountainous isle of Kea, its steep slopes carpeted in forests and scrubby brush from the abundant springs and streams, quite rare in the archipelagos fanning out into the Aegean from mainland Greece.

Day 2: Kithnos Island (15 nm)

Located southeast of Kea and northwest of Serifos, Kithnos (also spelled Kythnos) is typical of the acrid, rugged islands found throughout the Aegean Sea. Its brown-colored hills extend just over 1,000 feet in height. Along the coast are numerous coves and bays, some of them quite beautiful with nearby sandy beaches.

Day 3: Hydra (40 nm)

Certainly a must-do itinerary stop, Hydra is a cosmopolitan island rooted in a rich maritime history and dedicated to preserving their traditional way of life. You’ll find an island that is traffic-free – no cars or even bicycles are permitted. Here, donkeys and walking are every day modes of transportation.

Day 4: Poros (13 nm)

Arriving to Poros is an exceptional experience. Approaching the town, you’ll sail through a narrow, picturesque channel that separates the island of Poros from the Peloponnese peninsula. Pine, olive and lemon trees blanket the hillsides and reach the sandy beaches. A host of cafes, bars and souvenir shops line the docks of Poros Town, but the best are located around the town square near the museum and town hall.

Day 5: Cape Sounion Bay (27 nm)

Cape Sounion Bay sailing brings you to the mouth of the Saronic Gulf and the southwest coast of the Attica Peninsula. The rocky heights of Cape Sounion rise from the shimmering blue Aegean nearly 200 feet, and atop the craggy cliffs is the breathtaking Temple of Poseidon, its white marble columns gleaming in the sun.
