General Conditions

The climate of the Croatian coast is ideal for a Dubrovnik bareboat sailing vacation. With blue skies and consistent warm weather it is one of the sunniest coastlines in Europe. Throughout the cruising season, water temperatures average  71 F (22ºC). Winds are generally reliable, from a north-westerly direction, and range between 5 and 20 knots (6 – 23 mph), occasionally reaching 25 knots (28 mph) in the afternoon.

The tidal range is small, only 1 - 2 feet (30 cm), and a Dubrovnik yacht charter affords ample opportunity for line-of-sight sailing in sheltered waters. 

Modern, well-equipped marinas are plentiful along the coast. A Dubrovnik bareboat yacht charter is suitable for confident sailors with reasonable previous experience but you must have International Certificate of Competence (ICC) or RYA Day Skipper certificate to skipper a yacht here.
