Safety first
Sunsail Sailing Schools are fully recognized by the Royal Yachting Association, our yachts fully comply with the Marine & Coastguard Agency Code of Practice for Sail Training Yachts, and all Sunsail Skippers are qualified and hold a commercial endorsement. This means that our safety procedures and equipment are regularly monitored to comply with RYA regulations. At Sunsail we make sure your course is a safe and enjoyable experience.
We ensure:
- You are under the supervision of your RYA qualified instructors at all times
- There is full DoT Code of Practice safety equipment
- All our instructors hold first aid certificates
- Yachts have VHF radios
- Courses cover all practical safety aspects on the water
- There is supervision on teenage sailing courses all of the time
