What to expect
Our fully qualified RYA instructors are all carefully selected for their expertise and enthusiasm. At all levels of our highly acclaimed teaching program, your instructor will help you to build confidence on and off the water. Beginners are encouraged and eased gently into sailing, intermediates play with and build upon on their strengths and advanced sailors have as much adventure in store as they can handle.

What you’ll experience
A sailing course with Sunsail is such fun many students tell us they feel like they’re on vacation. Having such a great time, you hardly realize you’re learning or improving your skills. And now with so many tempting school locations, more and more people are choosing to combine their Sunsail yachting course with vacation time in a fantastic destination. But regardless of whether you sail the Solent or the Whitsundays – the experience is the same, all over the world. Your enjoyment and safety are paramount.

Starting out…
Sailing is fun, affordable and even more accessible than ever before with Sunsail, particularly for beginners. 2006 sees many more new and exciting ways to get you started in sailing as an individual, or with friends and family. Try a One Day Taster to see if sailing’s for you. You may find you’re a natural and be hooked forever!

When you first start out your Skipper will show you everything you need to know about safety and comfort on board your course boat. They will be attentive to you at all times and make sure you’re feeling at ease as you learn and enjoy the experience.

A Competent Crew certificate is all you need to join any of our Easy Flotillas in the Ionian in Greece or in Turkey. You can also join an Easy Flotilla following a 2 Day Flotilla Training course or the 3 Day Flotilla Training Course available at all of our Clubs.

Families are welcome to charter a whole boat with an Instructional Skipper and carry out a course at the same time.
