We are equally happy to provide access for our local sailors to Sunsail’s more than 30 destinations around the world.”
Pacific Northwest - Sailing Paradise
The Pacific Northwest is rated as one of the world’s top sailing destinations, and for good reason! This region offers something for everyone; charterers can enjoy active pursuits such as biking, kayaking, and hiking, while also tasting superb farm fresh cuisine and locally produced wines. From Island Cruising’s base in Sidney on Vancouver Island, over 2,000 islands are accessible throughout both Canada and U.S. waters, specifically The Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast, Desolation Sound and San Juan Islands. Sailors can expect to cruise alongside pods of whales and dolphins, as well as spot all types of wildlife from bald eagles to grizzly bears. There are waterfalls, snowcapped mountains, leafy forests and beaches.
For cosmopolitan sophistication, culinary flair and a hip artsy scene, Vancouver is the place to be. It is also home to Vancouver International Airport, which is served by over 60 airlines connecting travelers to more than 95 destinations in Canada, the U.S. and around the world. From here, a ferry transfer to Vancouver Island offers a pleasant introduction to this beautiful cruising ground. The Island Cruising fleet available for Sunsail charters will initially consist of monohulls between 31- to 47-feet from Beneteau, Bavaria, Dufour, and Hanse.
