Join the Jeanneau Owner's Rendezvous - March 3-10, 2012!

The Jeanneau Sunsail rendezvous is now upon us and we are excited to announce that we have 23 boats signed up and just over 100 people. Below is the updated cruising itinerary that we will follow as closely as possible. Although it is late in the game, there's still time to charter a boat and hop on board for this historic and exciting event. OK everyone, hoist your sails and let's go sailing!

Itinerary

Day 1, Saturday, March 3rd
Destination - Road Town, Tortola
6:00pm: Sunsail charter guests will board their boats at the Sunsail charter base located on Wickham’s Cay II, Road Town, Tortola.
7:30pm: Welcome party at the Mariner Inn pool with live music. You will have just finished getting somewhat settled aboard your boat and ready for a refreshing rum punch and something to eat, so come on up and enjoy yourself, pool-side!

Day 2 - Sunday, March 4th
Destination - Peter Island Resort, Peter Island
9:30am - 10:30am: Chart briefing and checkout with Sunsail
11:00am - 12:00pm: Depart Sunsail and enjoy your first day of sailing on the beautiful Caribbean sea!
4:00pm - 5:00pm: Welcome to Sprat Bay and the Peter Island Resort and Spa! This is a beautiful spot and a high end resort. In addition, we have arranged for all our boats to be in the marina and at the dock for the night at a rate of just $60 per boat.
6:30pm - 8:30pm: We’ll kick-off the official start of the rendezvous with a few cocktails beginning at 6:30pm followed by dinner at the Deadman’s Beach Bar and Grill.

Day 3 - Monday, March 5th
Destination - Bitter End Yacht Club, Virgin Gorda
9:00am - 11:00am: Depart Peter Island at your leisure and head North to the Bitter End Yacht Club located in Gorda Sound on the island of Virgin Gorda. You might want to consider stopping at The Baths along the way to snorkel.
3:00pm - 5:00pm: Arrive on the docks at the Quarterdeck Marina at the Bitter End Yacht Club. Once again, we have negotiated a great rate for dockage of just $1.00 per foot per night which is impossible to beat anywhere in the Caribbean.
6:30pm - 8:30pm: Cocktails and dinner anyone? Beginning at 6:30pm the bar is open! Dinner will follow at 7:30 along with a special presentation by solo sailor, Tania Aebi.

Day 4 - Tuesday, March 6th
Destination - Remain Bitter End Yacht Club, Virgin Gorda
8:30am: An assortment of morning activities to choose from including a Q&A session with Jeanneau product manager, Erik Stromberg, morning yoga on the beach or morning hike.
2:00pm - 4:00pm: Sailboat racing anyone? How about a treasure hunt? Thanks to our friends at Sailing World, we’ll be doing some fun racing using the Yacht Club’s fleet of small boats. If racing is not for you, there will be plenty of other activities to choose from including a fun and adventuresome treasure hunt!
6:30pm - 8:30pm: Looks like it’s time for cocktails and dinner again followed by an awards ceremony from the days events. And perhaps, a little live music and dancing later on.

Days 5 & 6 - Wednesday & Thursday, March 7th - 8th
Destination - Your Call
9:00am - 11:00am: Depart Virgin Gorda when you want and head to where you want. You are on your own today and all day tomorrow and tomorrow night so now is the time to head to perhaps Anegada or Marina Cay and maybe on Thursday to Jost Van Dyke. Wherever you go you will be in a great spot and will have a great time!

Day 7 - Friday, March 9th
Destination - Pirates Bight on Norman Island
3:00pm - 5:00pm: Drop the hook in The Bight of Norman Island and get prepared for our last night together, Pirate night… Arrgh (eye patches optional). Time certainly does fly when you’re having fun!
6:30pm - 8:30pm: Pain Killers and Bushwhackers are in store for this last dinner together on the beach at Pirates Bight. After dinner we’ll raffle off all the great gear that our sponsors so graciously donated for this historic event.

Day 8 - Saturday, March 10th
Destination - The Party's Over
9:00am - 11:00am: Depart Norman Island and reach across Sir Francis Drake’s channel back to Road Town Harbor for the conclusion of a great sailing adventure. We hope you had fun!

Pricing & Details:

The price for all the Jeanneau events listed below for the week is $300/ person for adults and $100/ per child under the age of 12.

• Event 1: Opening welcome party
• Event 2: Cocktails and dinner at the Peter Island Resort
• Event 3: Cocktails and Indian Barbecue at the Bitter End Yacht Club
• Event 4: Activities followed by drinks and dinner at the Bitter End
• Event 5: Cocktails and beach barbecue at the Pirates Bight on Norman’s Island

Each Jeanneau owner is responsible for all costs related to the boat (charter or private) and their on-board provisions.
