To sail your own yacht on a flotilla we do insist you (or some of the people you are holidaying with) have had some flotilla sailing training or sailing experience. However, if you are a complete beginner there are plenty of flotilla options for you.

• Join a Share A Yacht crew where you can be an essential part of the crew without any formal sailing experience. Share your yacht with other people who enjoy sailing and experiencing new places and meeting new people.

• For less experienced crews we offer a Skippered Share A yacht option in Greece and Turkey, where a Sunsail Skipper will be on board with you to help sail the yacht throughout your holiday.

• If you would prefer not to opt for the Share A yacht option and have your own yacht, Sunsail Skippers are available to hire to be on board with you throughout your holiday (at an extra charge).

Alternatively, why not complete a flotilla training course in the UK or at one of Sunsail’s activity and watersports beach resorts? This will arm you with all you need to confidently take the helm on a flotilla – you could also combine the two and spend a week at a Sunsail Club completing your flotilla training with a week straight afterwards on a flotilla. Most of our Clubs offer Club Flotilla as a holiday option.
