Layin on deck with my daughters, anchored in an isolated bay, as the waves kissed the shore was a truly magical experience
Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?I completed my day skipper with sunsail in 2007. Despite being August the heavens opened and treated us to 5 days of force 7 gales. Our instructor gave us the confidence to believe in the boat and we survived the ordeal with a wealth of experience. I almost immediately booked an October flotilla in Greece and took my family on their first sailing holiday. Since then we joined the flotilla in Turkey and raced on the Solent.
Is there anything else you would like to share?Expect the unexpected. Enjoy the fact that every evening you will moor in totally different surroundings. Enjoy the busy towns, the flash marinas the tiny fishing villages and the isolated anchorages. Enjoy the sailing when the wind blows and the conversation when it doesn't.
Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht? The challenge of balancing the helm to achieve the maximum speed in a 32 foot yacht and out run the bigger yachts in the flotilla
Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?Visit Cleopatra's island and moor on the opposite side to the beach. Swim ashore and take the path which leads through temples dedicated to ancient deities. Swim off Cleopatra's beach and then admire the incredible vista across the bay while enjoying a cool beer.
Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?Layin on deck with my daughters, anchored in an isolated bay, anticipating the next shooting star, as the waves kissed the shore was a truly magical experience
