Turgutreis 2 Week Flotilla Sailing Vacation

Overview

Sunsail’s Turgutreis two week flotilla vacation combines the routes of the Turgutreis North and Turgutreis South flotillas into a two week flotilla, with a free-sailing day in between, allowing you to explore some of Turkey’s treasures on your own.

Cruise north across the Gulf of Gulluk, stopping in quiet bays to swim, snorkel or explore caves of fascinating stalagmites and eat the freshest fish imaginable at charming fishing villages. Cruise south across the Gulf of Gokova and visit beautiful beaches.

Hone your racing skills to compete against your fellow flotilla sailors in a regatta and enjoy socializing with them at night, exploring the exclusive bars, restaurants and legendary nightlife of Bodrum.

In July and August this is a family flotilla so your lead crew will include an Activity Coordinator to help wear the kids out.

  • High season family flotilla
  • Historic Bodrum town
  • Ancient ruins of Halicarnassus and sunsken city of Myndos
  • Outstanding varied sailing area
  • Secluded bays and anchorages

Sailing in Turgutreis

A Turgutreis two week flotilla vacation allows you to experience the very best of Turkish sailing and scenery. The sailing is suited for confident sailors with a good amount of previous sailing experience.

Summer temperatures average 86 F (30 C) although the stronger Winds (10 – 20 knots, 11 - 23 mph) from the north-west stop it from feeling too hot.

It is also normally calm at night, resulting in a great nights sleep, following your days sailing.  Navigation is line-of-sight.

What's included ?

At Sunsail we don’t want you to worry about all the little details. That’s why we include so much in your Flotilla package.

  • Bodrum

Whether you are actually one of the beautiful people or you just like to watch those who are, a visit to the bustling town of Bodrum is something not to be missed. You’ll want to visit the impressive Castle of St. Peter too, but Bodrum is mostly about shopping, eating, drinking and dancing. You’ll need another vacation afterwards!

  • Cokertme

Visiting charterers gather at Cokertme to enjoy the friendly atmosphere at what is a popular first overnight stopover for yachts heading into the Gulf of Gokova. Nestled at the foot of steep mountains, Cokertme is the place to enjoy some terrific food washed down with a bottle of the local red wine and live music at Hassan’s. How’s that for a good start to a Cokertme boat charter?

  • Degrimen Buku English Harbour

Anchor your Degrimen Buku English Harbor boat charter in this lovely bay and take a walk through the beautiful forest fields just inland from the coast. Amber trees which only grow in a few places in the Eastern Mediterranean perfume the air with their distinctive fragrance. When you’ve worked up an appetite, head for one of the simple restaurants on the shore and enjoy some delicious grilled fish for dinner.
