The two-week Orhaniye flotilla vacation takes in the Greek island of Simi as well as the Gulf of Hisaronu and some of the most beautiful coastline in Turkey. 

The route has plenty to interest those fascinated by the region’s ancient history as well as designer shops and chic restaurants to appeal to those whose preferences tend to the more modern.

If important archaeological sites are not quite your thing then sailing around tiny islets, stopping at and anchoring in deep blue bays for a secluded swim or just the enjoyment of this area of outstanding natural beauty are just some of the delights to be enjoyed instead.

Sailing in Orhaniye

Orhaniye flotilla sailing is suitable for confident sailors with a reasonable amount of previous sailing experience but with easy navigation, protected waters and good anchoring conditions, it is certainly not too difficult for most. 

Summer temperatures average a pleasant 86 F (30 C).  Relaxed mornings give way to breezy afternoons with the promise of some exhilarating sailing especially in the afternoon with steady north-west Winds of 10 – 20 knots (11 - 23mph). There is not much wind at night.

Before heading back to Orhaniye for dinner at one of the village’s excellent restaurants, take a walk to the village of Hisaronu and explore the remains of the ancient acropolis located there. Alternatively, stop nearby at Marmaris for lively nightlife and great shopping.
