General Conditions

Sunsail’s sailing area along Turkey’s Lycian Coast offers ideal sailing conditions for a Kas sailing  charter.  Steady north-westerly winds range from 10 - 20 knots and there are cool sea breezes in the afternoons which die away at night.

The thermal Meltemi winds blow from May to October and can be particularly strong in July and August. Kas flotilla sailing is suitable for confident sailors with a reasonable level of experience.

With blue skies, consistent warm weather and perfect sailing conditions, this is one of Turkey’s finest flotilla sailing destinations.

During the cruising season, water temperatures average 72 F (22 C).
