Kas Flotilla Sailing Vacation

Overview

The two-week Kas flotilla vacation embarks from Sunsail’s flotilla base at Fethiye, which has excellent modern facilities.

The route heads south east from the base and incorporates a terrific mix of ancient and modern, from the Lycian tombs that are dotted amongst the contemporary homes of Ucagiz to the bustling harbour towns of Kas and Kalkan, with their excellent shopping (particularly jewelry, textiles and pottery) and choice of restaurants.

The seven mile long sandy beach at Patara is not to be missed, and neither is the chance to engage in cliff-jumping at Coldwater Bay, while the clear waters of Gokkaya Limani offer fantastic swimming and snorkeling.

Sailing in Kas

The superb sailing conditions of Turkey’s Lycian Coast makes Kas flotilla sailing an ideal vacation for sailors with a reasonable level of previous sailing experience.

A two-week Kas flotilla allows confident sailors to embark on some longer passages, with full day sails on 3 of the days.

Navigation is line-of-sight, following the coastline and winds are generally westerly or south-westerly, ranging from 5 – 15 knots (6 - 17 mph). The winds are strongest in July and August. In summer, temperatures average a toasty 90 F (32 C).

What's included ?

At Sunsail we don’t want you to worry about all the little details. That’s why we include so much in your Flotilla package.
