A sailing holiday does not get much better than this

Overview - Give us a summary of your time with Sunsail?

It all worked just as it should. The plane landed in Skiathos and there was then a relaxing ferry trip across the wine-dark sea to the departure base. A lovely start. We had reasonable winds most of the time with none of the knockdown gusts you get in the Ionian. There were thunderstorms at first but they didn't really affect the holiday once we got out into the islands

Is there anything else you would like to share?

The recovery was a bit less slick - we had to kick our heels in Skiathos for most of the day. It made you realise just how hot it is on the land.

Yachts - What was the best thing about your yacht?

Its size and ease of operation and the autopilot and the gps. This made our two-person crew adequate for the task until reinforced later in the holiday.

Tips - Do you have any advice for fellow Sunsail guests visiting this destination?

The water was not as warm as I was expecting - if swimming is high on your list of priorities, go later rather than earlier in the year.

Highlights - What were the most memorable experiences of your holiday and where on your itinerary did they happen?

I liked Skiathos and for one reason or another we spent quite a lot of time there, both on flotilla and when free sailing. An additional crew member was able to join our party on the Tuesday having flown into the airport there.
