Sailing Conditions

A Milina sailing charter in the Pelagos & Trikeri offers sailing in the protected waters of the Gulf of Volos, as well as the seas surrounding the Sporades Islands where there is more open water cruising. 

During the cruising season of May to October, the skies are cloudless and the weather warm.  In mid-summer, water temperatures average 84 F (29 C) and sailors can look forward to enjoying long evenings and glorious sunsets.

Winds are generally consistent from midday to early evening, averaging 10 – 20 knots (11 – 23 mph), but in July and August the winds are typically gentler.
