General Conditions

Croatia boasts one of the sunniest climates in Europe, and the good weather and blue skies make for very pleasant conditions. It is not surprising that Croatia has been a popular flotilla destination for many years.

Winds are lighter in the mornings with afternoon breezes and calm nights. Early and late in the season there are south/south-easterly variable winds, but generally winds are north/north-easterly and steady.

Navigation is line-of-sight and tidal range is minimal so no real currents to worry about. Water temperatures a beautifully swimmable 72 F (22 C) in the summer . 

Ruza flotilla vacations are suitable for reasonably experienced sailors and you do need a valid ICC (International Certificate of Competence), RYA Day Skipper Certificate or higher to be able to sail here.
