Remaining one of the most famous sailing areas in the world, the waters of the Solent hold a sense of excitement and adventure.
Port Solent’s central position at the heart of the English Channel makes for an excellent starting point to visit the many surrounding harbors and anchorages which have played their part in English maritime history.
Choose from the quiet inlets of Yarmouth and Ashlett Creek to the lively Cowes and Historic Portsmouth, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, The coastline of France, the Channel Islands and the West Country are all within reach.
From our base at Port Solent you can take in such memorable sailing landmarks as Portsmouth Historic Dockyards, Cowes, The Needles, Beaulieu and Poole. Whether it's the Fastnet yachts passing The Needles or the sheer exuberance of Cowes Week, the Solent offers everything we love about sailing.
