Koh Mak

With a 12 mile coastline, Koh Mak is the third largest island of the Marine National Park. The islands flat terrain is home to numerous coconut and rubber plantations which are skirted by long beaches and clear waters.  A Koh Mak yacht charter allows you to explore the beautiful tropical surroundings of this small, family-orientated island, included in a The Sunday Times guide as one of  the 'Top Ten Beaches in the World’.

Koh Mak is shaped like a cross, with the best beaches located on the southwest coast at Ao Kao and the northwest coast at Ao Suan Yai.  From Ao Suan Yai you can look out across to Koh Raet, Koh Phee, Koh Kham while soaking up the captivating sunset.  During low tide a sand bar appears between Koh Mak and Koh Kham, a smaller island about 0.5 miles northwest from Ko Mak.  This allows you to walk across, but remember to keep a close eye on the water to ensure that you don’t get stranded!
