Sunsail’s base in Langkawi is located at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club, just a short hop away from the main town of Kuah, allowing easy access for shopping, transport and other facilities.  Langkawi International Airport is just less than half an hour drive away from the club, and if arriving by ferry then the ferry jetty is just a short walk away from the marina.  

The Royal Langkawi Yacht club offers a number of facilities for the whole family including, a waterfront swimming pool overlooking the marina, complete with jacuzzi.  There are two restaurants and a convenience store within the main clubhouse, and for the more adventurous the opportunity to scuba dive, jet ski and go deep-sea fishing. 

The club opened in 1996 and has positioned itself at the forefront of the rebirth of boating in Malaysia.  It was designed and built to blend into the natural coastline and beautiful landscape of the island. The Royal Langkawi Yacht Club is within easy reach of the highlights of the island – Temurun Waterfall on the northwestern part of the island attracts tourists from all over the world and is at its most spectacular between June and December.  

Pantai Cenang is Malaysia’s most developed west coast beach.  Its shores are a gorgeous mix of lush palms, translucent turquoise-blue waters and soft white sand, with an extensive range of restaurants.  Malaysia’s largest underwater aquarium is also based here.  Kuah town is a 7 minute walk away and offers duty free shopping , an art gallery and a 12 metre monument in the shape of a sea eagle.
