Pulau Beras Basah

There are a couple of adjectives that sum up this island, pristine, attractive, beautiful and peaceful – we think you are probably getting the picture.  The uninhabited island of Palau Beras Basah literally means Island of Wet Rice, and is located on the west tip of Langkawi, it is probably one of the most well known islands.

It features lush, mysterious jungle with mountains looming in the background.  The island really will provide you with a perfect getaway on your yacht charter with its white sandy beach that is embraced by a clear blue sea.  As soon as you step on this island you will feel the tranquility in the air.  Once on the island there are a couple of activities for the more adventurous such as taking a banana boat ride, or braving some para sailing – a perfect way to get a birds eye view of this amazing sailing area. Other than that there is nothing to do here but swim, sunbathe and enjoy the stunning views.  There are worse ways to spend your day!

The amenities here are very basic with a washroom and a small stall that sells soft drinks.  Important items to bring ashore are definitely a book and a beach towel.  There is nowhere to eat onshore so this is a perfect opportunity to conjure up something special and regional onboard.  If you wish to explore further a field then jump on one of the 3 island boat trips taking in Pulau Daying Bunting and Pulau Singa Besar as well.
