Located on the western coast of Haslewood Island, this unspoilt intimate beach has a real Robinson Crusoe feel to it. Glistening powder white-sands create a stark contrast between the lush tropical bush and crystal-clear turquoise waters.
Much like its neighbor Whitehaven beach, here the ambience is peaceful and the way of life relaxed, so kick off your sandals and feel the sand between your toes as you head off in search of the perfect picnic spot for a leisurely lunch.
The islands fringing coral reef offers the ideal opportunity for some afternoon underwater adventures. So don your snorkel and flippers and take to the water in search of what lies beneath these warm tropical waters; you won’t be disappointed, the snorkeling is superb and as you navigate your way through the colourful coral gardens you can expect to see schools of electric blue damsels, delicate angel and exotic butterfly fish.
Keep an eye out for green turtles and the endangered Hawksbill turtles that swim amongst the sea grass meadows surrounding the reef. Just before dusk, head back onboard for an early evening sundowner and watch the spectacular Australian sun setting over Whitehaven beach. It’s a definite photo moment so don’t forget your camera.
