Amazon Creek Yacht Charters

Heading around the coast from Kargilibuk towards Amazon Creek, you will pass the Yedi Adalari – the Seven Islands – a chain of small islands close off the coast.  There are numerous above and below-water rocks in the vicinity of the islands and care is needed. There are several anchorages here – at North Cove, East Creek and Gokagac – where you will find yourself in the company of herons, kingfishers and a few fisherman but few others. This is remote and beautiful Turkey at its very best.

Amazon Creek itself is a charming spot with dense pine growing out over the water’s edge, giving it the appearance of a jungle of sorts – hence the name. There’s a campsite here with facilities available to be used by visiting charterers on an Amazon Creek yacht charter.

Mooring:

  • Proceed cautiously into the creek taking care of the reef and anchor on the eastern side near the dogleg with a line ashore
  • The head of the creek is shallow
  • Larger yachts can anchor under the headland at the entrance where the bottom is mud and the holding is good, but the shelter is not the best
