Kas

Kas lies at the foot of steep slopes in a crescent-shaped bay, sheltered by the Greek island of Kastellorizon from the southwest. The village is one of the most appealing along this stretch of coastline and has good facilities for visiting charterers, with numerous cafes and restaurants. Behind the village are numerous Lycian rock tombs, many of which are lit up after dark.

To the west of the village is a well-preserved Hellenistic theater with superb views out over the bay. A Kas yacht charter gives you the opportunity to visit some of the best diving sites in Turkey – there are 60 within easy reach of Kas, some suitable for beginners and others for more experienced divers, and a number of operators in Kas. The visibility here is up to 30 meters in places and the region has the largest variety of sea life anywhere along the Turkish coast.

You can expect to see grouper, barracuda, amberjack and ray as well as cardinal fish, parrotfish and pandora, as well as a wrecked World War II bomber. Kas has a reputation for having the best nightlife along this stretch of the coast, so arrive prepared for a late night!
