Plateria is an enlarged harbor inside Ormos Platarias, the large bay lying under the mountain of Ak Kondramourto that lies to the north of Sivota Mourtos on the mainland coast.

It is a lovely quiet place that serves as a good antidote to busier and more tourist-focussed towns such as Sivota and Parga and a Plateria yacht charter will appeal to those in search of a low-key stop-over.

There is a lovely harbor and sandy beach here with shallow water for swimming, making Plateria of particular interest to families with small children who are looking for somewhere to take it easy for an afternoon and get to work with the buckets and shovels and construct some serious sand-castles. There are just enough in the way of tourists to ensure a sufficiency of tavernas and cafes.
