Serifos

Sail southwest from Syros to rugged Serifos, another charming and picturesque island in the stunning crystal clear waters of the famed Aegean Sea. The coastline and green mountain slopes of the island are dotted with lovely fishing villages and there are some extraordinary rock formations, some are said to resemble the human form and just waiting to be explored.

Serifos Town – also known as Chora – sits on the hill above Livadi Bay and its whitewashed stone houses create a stunning, picture-perfect Greek mountain village. The town has four beautiful churches and the ruins of a medieval castle are worth exploring, as well as its own Archaeological and Folklore Museums. Both give good insight into the history and traditions of the Cyclades.

You can reach Serifos Town either by bus or on foot from Livadi. Livadi itself, on the shores of Livadi Bay, is the main port and a busy resort town offering plenty of bars, restaurants and nightlife to visiting charterers in search of some onshore distraction. Livadi also has good beaches. Whether you are in search of golden sand with watersports, a secluded cove and good book, or an occasional dip with cold beer, you will find it on a Serifos boat charter.

To the west there are quiet bays and scenic coves that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling in pristine blue waters. Koutalas Bay has a castle and a Hellenic white tower to explore and is a particularly lovely anchorage.
