Hermioni

Hermioni, a small town located on a rocky, wooded peninsula is a renowned archaeological site. It is a pleasant stop-over on a Hermioni yacht charter. The hills behind the town are carpeted with lemon and olive trees and the waterfront has a good selection of bars, cafes and tavernas. There is a bustling market in Hermioni on Tuesdays – it’s a good opportunity to stock up on provisions.

Nearby there are two extraordinary doline craters, the smaller one at Mikri Spilia is accessed by a tunnel that leads down into the heart of the crater which has two small churches built in under the cliffs. There are rock climbing routes nearby at Dhidhymo and Mount Ortholithi and an archaeological site at Bisti. And, if that all sounds like alot hard work, the southern side of the peninsula has plenty of good spots for a leisurely swim.
